Tuscany at Des Moines Creek — Restaurant in Des Moines

I can not express the deliciousness of my meal at Tuscany. The vegetables were absolutely delicious and fresh, the rice pilaf was flavorful with great texture and the cashew chicken, outstanding. I also had clam chowder. It had a lemony, Greek-ish essence, that was terrific. Then there is dessert. Many homemade pies to choose from, I chose chocolate banana creme. A fantastic choice it was. Full of flavor, both chocolate as well as banana. I separated them to see what each layer brought to the combination. Each layer, fabulous on its own. My pictures are as the dish was brought....taken as the plate sat upon my table. These are not staged plates. Actually, I did take a couple bites before I thought of taking the picture to send to my family. Plentiful parking, great employees, the decor is inviting, simple with great character and absolutely clean. Please note that this is a great place to take your wife, your date your family for a great dinner or supper. This is not going to be your cheap fast food choice. Expect this. Your looking at $20 - $30 per person. You, your date, your family deserve this. I highly recommend this restaurant. I am thankful for this...

My husband and I went here for date night, The service was fantastic. Unfortunately, I can't remember our servers name but he was very sweet, knew the menu and specials, and got our food out quickly. Unfortunately our food lacked flavor, salt and just seasoning in general. I think it may have been frozen and reheated. We went here near closing time so that could be part of why we had the experience we did. The best thing here is the bakery. They have all different kinds of fresh pies and breads. We have gone back three times now for the banana bread and pies. The raspberry is the one with the red raspberries on top it is absolutely delicious. I also went and purchased the Lemon pie for my sister's birthday and everyone loved it. The same server got me that pie and he actually remembered me from the night we had gone to dinner and said so and hello etc. like I said he was fantastic. I wish I could give this place 5 stars because everything was great except for the food and it is a restaurant so I can only give 4 and would give 3 if it wasn't for the bakery. The dinner was 3 and the bakery is 5 so I just evened...

Great place for breakfast & Lunch "I'm sure dinner is DELICIOUS as well", I'm just a breakfast/lunch gal. Every one is so friendly that works there, they make a point to remember your name, favorite foods, all the quality stuff that makes dining out feel special. Prices are still fare, quality of food, spot on YUUUMMM lots to chose from their menu. Not to mention fresh coffee... VIP living in Wa. Never a huge wait, clean and comfy, and if you love fresh pie, You can't miss with their wonderful assortment of freshly baked pie. Great spot for Family's or with friends or if your craving a hot fluffy stack of pancakes, eggs, bacon! This last visit they had the most incredible banana bread french toast!!! Can you say soft, fluffy homemade taste with a little love sprinkling of powdered sugar and drip or five of warm maple syrup! Its a must stop on the way to the marina, or if your just looking for a new amazing place to get some great food...
