Planet Fitness — Attraction in Detroit

I've been to many Planet Fitnesses all over, from Ga to Miami to New York. This one in particular is hands down my favorite one and the best so far! It's a shame it has a 3.5 star rating (at the time this review has been written - hopefully that will change).

Reasons why I love this gym: the equipment: especially the section in the back with the battle rope, TRX trainer, kettle bells etc, are amazing! I've never been to a planet fitness with all these things. cleanliness: from the equipment, to the bathrooms, to just everything about in the facility is clean! It's very apparent they do a great job keeping things tidy.

Overall, this place is huge. I love the layout, openness, and pretty much everything about this place. It's very clear and apparent the owner put a lot of effort in making this an awesome gym and paid attention to all the details! To the jungle gym in the back, the open layout, the amazing hydro beds that have touch screens that actually work, to the bathrooms with granite countertops and beautiful mirrors, to the stretching machines, to even the freakin mats!!! All the equipment is clean and in optimal condition. The staff has been great so far too! Other planet fitnesses I have been to there was always something that was either broken or just not in optimal condition. Yes it may not be 24/7, but goodness gracious, look at what you're getting for the money!! I for one really appreciate this gym and the energy and effort that has been put into...

This location is very clean and neat. The staff are usually friendly but Safari is rude. You can tell off a person body language and demeanor dry talk, yea that was my last experience. I had a medical issue where I had to have surgery and didn’t cancel the contract. She said I had needed some proof which was fine. Drove got the documentation from the doctors themselves with heading and everything of the surgery and cast that had to be placed. When O brought them to her with all that I said, a dry interaction as if she was mad I was telling the truth or because she did not want to help me from the beginning. One thing about me I can pick up off a person vibe she low key rude. I was never disrespectful at no time hell I told her I don’t have a problem with paying but I would rather pay for the buyout than the remaining balance. I feel that was fair but that attitude and not wanting to verbally communicate with a customer is terrible customer service. I am not the type of customer to cause confusion as some can be. Never tried to make her job hard. Just be courteous to all and some wonder why they take money elsewhere or on the other side of 8 mile. You get bubbly attitudes and smiles. If you having a bad day no one should know but you! I am better than that so instead just know the facility is nice just not all the staff. Do better next...

I love this gym. I have been working out there for about a month now. The staff there are very friendly and also greets you with a smile. I tend to workout very early in the morning and often its still dark outside. This gym has a security officer on staff that watches people to there car. This really makes me feel safe. There was an incident a few days ago with this lady and I believe its from the person below Sasha Love. I witnessed the incident first hand as I was working out in the same area. The two gentlemen asked her politely to follow the rules of the gym. She started calling them a much of racial names so they alerted security. Security addressed the lady politely reminded her of the rules and suggested that everyone follow them from that point forward. The lady continued to insult the two gentlemen and just ranted on about hating white people. Security handled the situation best as he could. I'm speaking up for him because people like Sasha Love come on the internet and totally misrepresent the facts. I'm proud they cancelled your membership because there is no place for the kind of racist comments you said about those two white gentlemen. I'm a black older female and you made me feel so bad to witness that. Security and PF did I great job handling...
