It had been years since I last shopped at this store & must say I was pleasantly surprised by two employees I encountered as they went above & beyond to help me. Starting with Amalia @ the women’s clothing dept who guided me to find what I was looking for & answered my questions followed by Lilian in the fitting room. Although I didn’t ask for the handicapped room she noticed I was having some difficulty moving around & showed me to that room. I was moved by her gesture because unbeknown to her there are times I have mobility issues & that particular day was noticeable. I met Blanche the Assistant Manager & Justin, the store manager & shared how pleased I was with the courtesy & eagerness to help from Amalia & Lilian. They both advised me to share my experience & do the survey @ their website but when I tried I wasn’t aware there is a time window after the store visit which had expired a week earlier. It is my hope this review reaches their Corporate Office as these two ladies & respective managers deserves recognition. Looking forward to...
Read moreVery disappointed at the fact that after Christmas Day they had markdowns and as a customer it was difficult to shop because the employees while on shift were taking things for themselves putting them In carts and taking it. Mind you I politely asked one of the employees for an item and she said oh no that’s sold even though the item was there to then see her coworker with a tj maxx badge on come and take it. I’ve worked retail before and completely understand how things work but it was too much and quite frankly disrespectful. Not only that but after being in line for over 40 mins one of the supervisors tried to tell me that I had to step out of the line and find the random person that was doing markdowns because she hadn’t marked down the Christmas item I was taking I was like ummm my apologies but that makes absolutely no sense. Manager seen eating & passing out chocolate chip cookies to the 2 cashiers, w/only 2 registers that were open. 3 saleswomen seen walking around the Register area and not working. The line was hours long, for several hours. The lack of management was fully evident. And to be eating chocolate cookies while ringing up clothing was astonishing to see. I was a Store Mgr for clothing stores for 10 yrs. I would never have that happen. I would prioritize the customers. Work efficiently. When customers were kindly asking the Manager to please open another register she responded by gasping and showing disgust. No apology, no empathy. It’s like she hates her job.
