It's just different. I started coming here around 2017, when the sweet mom was on the floor helping customers. I was young and she made everyone feel welcomed and that's what always kept me coming back besides purchasing my groups albums lol
Ofc I still come in from time to time to get new releases of my group, I understand newer groups are being made but the store rarely has any merchandise in stock unless it's a really popular mainstream group. I've spent a lot of my money collecting albums from this store and more recently I had to place online orders so I can pre-order some items, so I would expect all inclusions especially the things that it says the merchandise comes with
My most recent visits was during the yard sale and the ending of January this year. Firstly the sale was great, it was the main store that I had an issue with. I went inside to ask about the yard sale and no one was at the front, I didn't mind cause I figured it was a busy day. No, I stood there waiting until a girl came and even then she didn't know what I was referring to and had to ask her coworker. I assumed they were new so it was fine. I bought a few things and was able to receive a free poster, and after telling one of the employees they went to the back and basically disappeared. I was waiting for at least 10 minutes just for her to come back out and say she couldn't find what I wanted, I tried to be understanding and said it was okay and requested for a different one off of the posters list. Again, I had to wait a long period of time for a singular poster. The customer service is lacking in these recent years.
My January visit was much better though, I don't remember her name but I was helped by a girl with long black hair, bangs and glasses. She's featured in some of the videos on the stores Instagram account. She greeted me and helped check me out and right after helped me get my online order. She let me check the bag to make sure everything was there while she went to the back to grab my free poster. I have never had any issues with my merchandise missing things but when I got home and did an unboxing one of my albums was missing some inclusions, this being the photocard and mini poster. I don't know if it was a returned order and just resealed in plastic wrap but I'm confused and upset as I paid retail price for it, being that I bought it to add to my collection
Overall I still like the store, the atmosphere isn't as welcoming with the newer employees and the lack of stock is annoying.
(I loved the employee who helped me though, she was awesome I have no...
Read moreI just went there today and it was amazing. The owners are so nice and friendly. They give you free stuff after your purchase, they gave my sister and I some free candy, posters of our favorite groups, and other things. Their store has a lot of great Kpop items and things like hoodies, posters, albums, bags, mugs, light-sticks, and many more!. They also play music (they played BTS when I was there). I will definitely come here again. I recommend this store for any Kpop fan :)
Edit: This review was 3 years ago but I wanted to change my review because this store has really changed in a lot of ways. I went to this store when it was originally just the two owners who were always there (a son and a mother I believe) and now it’s run by employees who know about Kpop. It seems the recent time I went there, there was a really awkward vibe and lots of people were there kind of dancing and like messing around. I read some reviews about rude cashiers and I felt like that was somewhat true. It doesn’t have the same vibe as the original owners who actually were at the counter. I also unfortunately had a cashier who charged me twice for an item!! It was a photocard pack and it was 16 dollars but I was charged for it twice so it came around to be 30+ dollars. I was mischarged and didn’t found out till days later when I looked at the receipt. Please check that you’re scanning items properly. I did contact them and they said I could come back to get another pack or a refund but within a time frame, but because I was very busy and didn’t want to drive that far just for that, I eventually forgot and didn’t bother to go back. I don’t know what’s going on, but I miss the atmosphere of the old store. Since then I couldn’t really think about going back. I don’t mean to be rude but at all but I hope the store is doing better and will hopefully be a good...
Read moreService continues to go downhill… I came in with my mother asking for help, the place was not busy at all. 2 girls were gossiping about a boy group and eating??, I had to basically wave in front of their faces at the counter I had a question. Someone finally gave me their attention, she and some others said they would check for stock in the back while I look around then would follow up with me.
10 minutes passed, still only a few customers and we saw them come back to the counter and start talking again. I waited another 5 minutes to see if anyone would answer my question, they did not. I HAD to be the one to take initiative and go back to the counter to see if their was any stock, they laughed and said “ oh ya ha ha there is none sorry “
Was is so hard to let the customer know that instead of me waiting around 15 minutes?? Sorry, but the only reliable person there is still Daniel. Everyone else is just immature and terrible, please bring back decent workers like you used to have when first opening. This is the THIRD TIME, I’ve experienced this. The store never used to be like this back in 2018-2020.
Sadly I’ll be buying from Subk from now on…at least they have a sense of urgency with their...
