Went there this morning to get a cheap coffee maker, and I went there because it was close, and typically, I can be in and out fast. Found the last most basic black plastic Hamilton Beach coffee maker with just an on and off switch on an end cap that said "Hamilton Beach small kitchen electrics, select styles", and it was on sale for $19.99, marked down from $32.99. I was happy with the price. Went to register, and it rang up at $34.99. Requested a price check and walked over with the manager. I told the manager that if they could find a sticker for it with the price, then I would pay it. Showed them the end cap where I got it, we looked everywhere, and the manager could not find a place for the model with a price anywhere. I then asked if they would honor the advertised price and was quickly told no because on the sticker where the item was placed, it said the original price was $32.99 instead of $34.99. I quickly said I that would shop somewhere else and that was the end, they didn't care. I looked online and found the same exact product selling between $21-25 at multiple stores. They are overcharging greatly for products and should have honored the sale price listed. Went to Target and bought a better Mr. Coffee brand maker for $30. Word of wisdom to the manager that wouldn't honor the listed price. Kohl's has lost a customer, and this review will lose them thousands. It's no wonder why Amazon is killing all the box store competition, however I do like to get out and go to stores and shop the old-fashioned way quite often. Goodbye Kohl's, do better...
Read moreI wanted to share my experience with picking up a online order. I have kinda been in hermit mode for awhile now and haven’t gone into a whole lot of stores so I don’t know some of the changes people have made. Now I will say that having a self pickup for online orders is in my eyes a good idea. Your order is pulled for you and placed in your bin for pickup. No waiting, no hassle, sharing the work to accommodate both. I have worked retail for over 20 years and when you are ordering online you want the convenience of no hassle, no lines or the fact you could be standing and waiting on someone to come help you or that person could have stepped away to get another order or you might be in a hurry. So to me this is a good idea to help both parties out. Also I did not get the ladies name that helped with this but I do appreciate her for helping me. I was picking up for my daughter and didn’t have the actually email to be able to scan it out plus didn’t realize this was how they were doing this process. So again I give Thanks to her for her service and this is such a great idea when Christmas comes and people are doing a lot of ordering cause I will tell you there is a lot of steps to online ordering and pick up plus this is set up near customer service where someone usually is always there to watch. That way in retail as some people know there is alot of work involved in one’s job and there is always things that...
Read moreNot a pleasant experience with Tara, the manager. I wanted to do a price adjustment. My significant other lost my recipe. My transition was on my Kohls card. I knew this was not going to go well, when some one called her over the walkie, and she aggressively snatched the ear piece from her ear and stated, "They can wait" and didnt even give them a response to say she was busy. (Very Rude) If she advertently did that to a fellow employee, then I knew I was chop liver. Tara told me the terminal was not set up to do price adjustments and gave me a short explanation. I had no qualms. I asked to do a return and repurchase my items. She gave me a silent look of disgust, and we stared at one another in silence. She began to reiterate what my options were not. I pointed this out to her, and she gave a disgruntled, disrespectfully sighed as if her job was not to provide enthusiastic customer service. Her attitude was so displeasing, and discouraging that I did not want to continue shopping. Through this encounter, I asked her why she continued to focus on what my options weren't vs. what they were. When I inserted my card, I directly asked her if she could see my transition. She gave me many conflicting responses other than that she could see it. A bunch of Indirect responses. Very unprofessional and confusing. I won't be shopping here for a very long time. Paid full price for this sweat shirt and went on about...
