This is one of the most difficult and disappointing reviews I've ever written because Taste of Thai is by far one of my favorite restaurants I've ever eaten at, not just in Douglasville. I have left them positive reviews all over the Internet, suggested them to friends, and eaten here hundreds of times in the 8 years I've lived here, brought countless friends/family/associates here for lunches, and suggested them for the Next Door best restaurant in town every single year I've lived here.

That being said, they have dramatically decreased the portion size of the food you're paying for. I'm talking you're getting less than half of the food you used to get, which is a big issue because their portion sizes were already on the smaller size before the massive reduction. The grouper my wife usually gets is less than half the size. The pepper steak I get is less than half the size and definitely less than 2 ounces of "steak." The yellow curry my daughters usually get, is less than half the size. The Pad Woon Sen, is half the size. We were all still hungry after eating here tonight. The spring rolls and cheese rolls we get for appetizers have not been reduced in size though - although they are already very small - just all of the entrees.

I don't mind paying for the food. If you need to increase prices, increase the price and I'll happily pay it, but to cut the amount of food so dramatically that we have no idea this is going on until these extremely small entrees show up to the table was pretty disappointing. When they were set on the table, we all looked at our plates and then up at each other noticing the gigantic decrease in the portion size from our last time dining. We do not like being tricked.

Disappointingly, we will not be returning, which is a very difficult thing to say. We have eaten here more than any other restaurant not only in Douglasville but in Georgia as a whole. We have brought friends and family here and made memories here. However, to have what were already smaller portion sizes shrunk to a level that they can't possibly fill you up isn't something we appreciate or that we will support in the future.

We ate the meal, which was still tasty, tipped, and left. They got us this time, but there won't be a second. Regardless, we thank Taste of Thai for all the great food and memories over the years and...

This is mainly a customer service critique and error on the business. My friend and I came in around lunch time and were told there was a 20 minute wait. No problem. We stood against the wall and waited. Two people came in about 8 minutes after us and were also told to wait. They waited on the opposite side of us. A few minutes passed and the two people that came in after us were seated before us. I was disgruntled but waited to be seated. Upon being seating I asked our waiter if this business has reservations. He said no and I expressed the concern. He proceeded to attempt to gaslight me and tell me the people came before us. It is very rude to not only lie to your customers due to an error on your business, let alone not honor your customer line. I am very disappointed because if the waiter had apologized and acknowledged the issue then there would not had been a problem. I have come to this restaurant for years and the food is always good. But the customer service on this circumstance was very poorly handled. If you want to be seated on time, make sure to stand in the way of the register so the staff can't get to it. That seems to be what you have to do in order to be seated on time...

Today was my first time trying this place based on reviews. I have to say, the flavors were excellent on the food. My only complaints is that the portion sizes were small. I ordered the cheese rolls appetizer and it comes with 3 and they were literally the size of my index finger and I have small hands and short fingers. There was a lot of breading when you bite into it since they are so small. They could definitely add more filling so they are not so thick on the batter. I also ordered the lunch portion of Panama curry chicken and it was delicious. It comes with coconut chicken soup which tasted great but didn’t have much chicken and was also half full served to me. I got a to go dinner size Panang since I loved the flavor so much and wanted a bigger portion for later on to eat and even that was small and filled half way in the container as well. Also, there was no music playing like all restaurants have some sort of music playing to entertain guests and it was just silence in there. Would have been nice to hear some sort of music or melody playing. Flavors 10/10 service 8/10 portion size 6/10. I would recommend coming here. I will be a returning customer and next time will...

When traveling with my wife, she has a knack for introducing us to new and exciting experiences, and this time it led us to Taste of Thai in Douglasville, GA. It turned out to be a gem that added a delightful twist to our culinary journey. One standout dish that caught my attention was the Rama Chicken. It was perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of spice to give it a satisfying kick. The subtle hint of ground peanuts added a creamy depth to the flavors, making each bite irresistibly tasty. It’s a dish that manages to balance heat and flavor seamlessly, making it memorable. The restaurant itself has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly service that makes you feel right at home. It's a place where authenticity meets comfort, and the menu offers enough variety to cater to different tastes and spice preferences. Taste of Thai turned out to be a great choice, and I’m grateful to my wife for always expanding our horizons. If you're in Douglasville and looking for a spot to explore Thai cuisine, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The Rama Chicken alone is reason enough to stop by!

I've been here twice now in the last few years. The first time I had Pad Thai which tasted like ketchup... Today we tried it again based on thr menu items listed here but it has completely changed. I'm including pictures of the new menu. We ordered basil spring rolls, cheese rolls and fried tofu. The spring rolls were so bland and dry. They were served all cut up, too, which I found strange. They only contained Vermicelli noodles, basil and plain shrimp. The cheese rolls were strange, like fried spring rolls with melted cream cheese in the middle? The fried tofu was our favorite. It was lightly battered and served burning hot. Probably won't be back.

I ordered a Pad Thai, Sesame Chicken w/fried rice, and two Thai Teas. My order arrived with a white rice and fried rice. Which I feel was a lack of attention to detail since I only asked for fried rice. Secondly, one on my teas came with tea spilling on top and down the side of the cup, in which I had to ask the waiter to wipe off. Lastly, I got home, and there were no utensils in my to go bag for either of my orders. Not to mention, it took 30 min for my food to be prepared. As soon as I find another Thai restaurant, I will not be returning to this one. Poor and sloppy service at a ridiculous price. I am not satisfied at all.
