Lavender Bridal Salon — Attraction in Dover

My shopping experience at Lavender Bridal was really incredible. I called to book a fitting appointment and was able to get in the same week. When I arrived, I was promptly greeted, checked in, and began looking through the different styles of dresses with my consultant, Courtney. She was very knowledgeable about the styles and was able to pick dresses she thought I’d love. I had no idea what I was doing, but Courtney made me feel comfortable and lead the way. After picking a slew of dresses, we went into the fitting room to try them on. I had Courtney’s undivided attention which made me feel cared for and excited about going through this experience. During my time trying dresses on, another consultant, Frankie, became available and offered her assistance as well. The ladies worked together to pick out a few things that I never would have picked myself, and I quickly fell in love with a dress! I was able to work with the manager, Brandan, on a price point and was able to purchase my dress that day! I couldn’t believe how kind and attentive the staff were at Lavender. A lot of bridal shops just churn people out, pressure them to buy things out of their price range, and don’t give the attention a nervous bride to be needs. That was not the case at all at Lavender! Everyone was truly wonderful, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and I left with my dream dress! This boutique was a wonderful experience, start to finish. I can’t recommend them enough! I live in the Cleveland area and drove over an hour to visit them, which ended up being so worth it! So even if you live a bit of drive away, it is worth your time to go and check them out....

Lavender Bridal Salon WAY exceeded all of my expectations.

I went in on a Thursday afternoon with my mom, soon to be mother in law and soon to be sister in law. When we went in, there was no one but us and the employees in the salon which was a completely different experience than the one I had David’s Bridal months prior where I was surrounded by a ton of people which made it very hard to focus. Lavender was also very clean, organized and had a vast selection of bridal gowns.

I was lucky enough to get miss Frankie as my consultant. From the moment she opened the door for us she was wonderful. She took me back to the huge dressing room and sat down with me to ask some questions and get to know me a bit and I thought that was just great. We then headed out to pick some dresses to try on! She listened to what I wanted and picked a few that she thought I would like while I was looking with my girls.

When it was time to try on, Frankie was so KIND! She made me feel 100% comfortable and so beautiful. I’m not lying when I say I had never met her before and within minutes I honestly felt like I was just shopping with a friend I’d known forever. She was personable, non judgmental and very helpful with any and all questions that we had. I ended up saying yes to one of the dresses that she picked out for me. A couple of weeks later, I received a thank you card in the mail from her where she congratulated me and thanked me for choosing Lavender Bridal.

Plus size girls beware! This was the second bridal boutique I ever went to shop. I am a street size 16 bridal size 22-24. Not a single sample dress was pulled in my size. I was literally strapped with bungee straps into size 10-16 dresses, street size 6-10 (hello bruises) and was frequently bullied about taking my bra off in DRESSES THAT DID NOT FIT. She also kept “forgetting” to close the curtain. I admit I have only a vague idea of what I wanted because this is only my second time shopping and I am still experimenting. My consultant didn’t listen to me. I found a Maggie Soterro dress that I felt beautiful and confident wearing at my first appointment at a different boutique. I tried to show her photos of me in the dress and what I liked about it and what I wanted. She essentially mocked me about the necessary alterations I needed due to health reasons (corset back to ensure confidence and comfort) I was told after the first dress “I don’t think I can help you” because I didn’t know what I wanted. I couldn’t tell you one dress I absolutely loved because I felt like she was intentionally putting me in too small dresses. My party that came with me was not impressed and I ended up crying in a street after my appointment. My self esteem is as bruised in my back. I will not return to lavender and hope others will heed...
