Flower Time in Downey — Attraction in Downey

I’m really torn with reviewing this flower shop. I’ve never purchased flowers from here so all of my experiences have been with picking up an arrangement a friend had purchased for me. I had no issues the first two times doing so, but the third time wasn’t the best experience. Normally, the staff is sweet, but they just weren’t helpful during my recent visit.

I had stopped by with my boyfriend to pick up an arrangement for my birthday that a friend had bought for me. I gave the man at the counter my name and the name of the person who had purchased it. Because it was a surprise, I didn’t have any other information, besides my friend’s phone number. The man wasn’t able to find the order, but he wasn’t really trying or being helpful, like maybe offering other suggestions to help locate the order.

Needless to say, I left empty-handed on my birthday and embarrassed in front of my boyfriend. The next day, I had gotten the receipt details from my friend, which kinda sucked, because it was supposed to be a surprise gift. I then called the flower shop and the lady I spoke with was quickly able to locate the order, so I don’t know why the man wasn’t able to find it. Thankfully I only live a few minutes away so I picked up my arrangement and the man I had spoken to the day before was at the counter and said that he wasn’t able to find it because my friend didn’t mention someone was going to pick it up(?)... even though my friend had told me he did mention that, as he has in the past. Also, the man caught me right as I was about to drive off because he almost forgot to give me my birthday balloon included in the order.

The flowers were beautiful though, and they always are from my past experiences.

I hate leaving such a negative review, especially for a small/local business, but I’ll update it if I need to...

Absolutely Amazing! After three orders, I can confidently say Flower Time is the best florist I’ve worked with! Their arrangements are unique, creative, and absolutely beautiful every single time. Their customer service is incredible. I once placed an order online on a Monday and called to check if it was ready. Even though they were closed, they had already seen my order and told me they’d have it ready within an hour! Who does that?!

I’ve given them complete creative freedom and they’ve never failed me. They have an amazing eye for design and consistently deliver arrangements that exceed my expectations. Each bouquet feels like a work of art with perfect colors, textures, and seasonal blooms.

I live right around corner and I’ve never gone to this flower shop and I highly recommended it the flowers are so beautiful and great quality i mean wow !! It is very economic as well.. they do sell helium balloons 1.25$ each and the wrapping they for the flowers are so high quality.. definitely will support this small business owner she is very sweet and considerate... super...
