El Sushi Loco Sushi & Mariscos Downey — Restaurant in Downey

It's decent... We got the Yaki Loco, Bolly Loco, Salmoncito Hot, the chilitos, some micheladas and a Teriyaki Plate. My favorite was the jaiva on the Bolly Loco which we got half fried half not the inside was okay creme cheese and cucumber can't go wrong there though the rice was a bit hard but still soft enough. The teriyaki chicken comes with tempura and rice and the tempura was delicious as was the teriyaki chicken the sauce was what made it. The chillitos were good, its imitation crab with cheese and serrano pieces fried with a sweet sauce. The Salmoncito roll was eh honestly, the salmon was a bit dry and was sparse with cream cheese and cucumber and then had that sweet sauce on top. The Yaki Loco is their fried rice, it has good ingredients (bacon, calabasita, beef, shrimp, egg) but the rice was undercooked? It was a bit squishy and runny and again lathered with the sweet sauce and spicy mayo. I had enough of that sweet sauce they put it on everything so everything tasted the same! Go easy with it yo! The micheladas were good they fill the glass with ice and a concoction of sauce then being you a can of Clamato and your beer of choice. Overall the pricing was fair and customer service was great(waiter, busboy, and hostess were all nice and attentive), the drinks weren't bad at all,t he decor was clean and comfy, the food could use some improvements but it's a decent place if your looking to have some sushi and your partner wants some tostadas de ceviche and a beer. Just expect to wait a while, we waited about 45 minutes but maybe as the hype goes down the...

I recently had an amazing dinner at this place. It's one of those spots where you immediately feel at ease. The ambiance is so relaxed, it just takes all your stress away. 🌿 The tables are really comfortable, they have designed it keeping the comfort of diners in mind. A shoutout to the servers, who are not just nice but absolutely delightful. You can tell they love what their job and it really reflects in their service. 👏

It's tough to talk about a restaurant without mentioning food - and trust me when I say it - the food was good. They might not be the cheapest options around but they deliver value for every penny you spend. 💰

And for all those hygiene freaks like me, the bathroom was very clean. I believe it's a small yet significant detail about a place speaks volumes. 🧼

Another factor that could be beneficial to many is that they have their own (though a tad limited) parking. No more worrying about finding space for your vehicle!

Hello I wanted to start by saying that I would have given this place 4 stars but unfortunately one of the cashiers maybe manager ruined the experience. Theyoung lady was wearing a yellow shirt, what happened was we were leaving the restaurant and my wife forgot her cell phone at our table and unfortunately we walked out of the restaurant and the doors were locked, so we knocked on the door to get somebody's attention nobody would come over they would just stare at the door. We knocked and we knocked finally this lady in the yellow shirt came over and told us "yes" and we were like , hi we were just wondering if we can get back in to get my wifes phone we left it inside the restaurant, and her response was "well don't you know the restaurant is closed"and we told her yes we understand that but we just walked out of the restaurant after having dinner and we forgot her phone and she was like why the restaurant is closed. She very rudely let us back. This is so sad this was our first visit to sushi loco and were celebrating a birthday. Because of this experience we will never return to...
