I've been to dozens of reptile shops all around Southern California in search of supplies and feeders for my bearded dragons and these guys have by FAR, the cleanest, most humane setups for every animal in their care. It's just so sad to see other pet/reptile stores with tons of reptiles crammed into a single enclosure with 1++ days of waste piling up. Cleanliness is so very important when it comes to the health and well-being of enclosed animals, more so than for other house pets and far more than that of our own tolerance levels for filth. Imagine for example, being forced to stay in a room all day with piles of your own feces, what about multiple days? Just because reptiles aren't as sensitive to hygiene doesn't mean they won't ultimately suffer in the end from poor husbandry.
But back to what is right and good in the world when it comes to reptile care, the owner(s) and staff at Reptile Factory really know what they're doing and have seen them explaining how to care for these creatures to new or prospective owners on multiple occasions. If a shop does not house their animals to ensure they aren't enabling disease spreading (improper lighting, heat, allowing food near feces) or locking up natural adversaries together (solitary animals will see ANY other reptile within reach as a threat to resources and their livelihood), they are not only harming those animals but could be setting the wrong standard that new or novice owners may look to as acceptable. Sorry for the rant, but it's cruel enough in a way that these now domesticated animals must be caged since they most likely wouldn't survive in the natural world their instinct may still desire. But to do so in a way as to make them ill or suffer is just sick and these businesses should just step away from the crickets and hand their animals over to rescues or the professionals; like the guys down at Reptile Factory. And if you're tired of buying 20 dollar hornworm cups and/or are poor like me, their prices are also the lowest I've seen on feeders and very competitive with other supplies (beat only by perhaps Amazon). There's really no reason to shop elsewhere other than ignorance of this place or the same lazy can't - won't - do attitude of those Petdumbcotherpderpshops.

Read moreI've been here many times and purchased A LOT of stuff here. I've been hesitant to post a review but it was a very frustrating purchase.
I purchased 6 paludarium enclosures at 18x18x36"tall for building bioactive leachie enclosures.
When I unpacked the 3rd enclosure it had a faulty or top hinge that does not hold the door in place properly. So the door falls forward and out from the top when opened. I called the day I got them home and they told me they could not do anything about it and I needed to reach out to the manufacturer but did not provide any guidance or phone number.
First time it actually fell out it hit me below my eye and cut me but I caught the glass.
I tried using glue and a 15 pound weight hold the parts in place to glue down the top frame for the hinge. Let cure for 2 days and still did not work it pulled away again right when the door was opened
Second time the glass fell again and shatted on the floor along with the plastic edges that have the pin to mount into the frame.
I'm at a loss what to do but I was sold a faulty product. They would not assist in getting me a new one, replacing or repairing properly and now I'm stuck with an expensive terrarium with no door or mounting equipment for a new door even if I were to order a piece of glass because when the door fell that broke as well.
The part that hurt is I called the day I picked them up and got them home and called again the following day in which they were very short with me. On top of that I purchased 6 of them with lots of accessories which is not cheap.
I will not be back to this store...
Read moreI love the store and it’s staff ! Everyone is alwyas super nice and very knowledgeable. Reptile Factory is hands down the cleanest place that handles reptiles, that I have come across. The vivariums all have a beautifully arranged interior to the needs of the animals. All other places i have visited so far have had an unpleasant smell and felt chaotic. one store was really unbearable... Here they carry everything i need for my reptile, a bearded dragon; and all the other amazing creatures they offer at the store. I got my beautiful beardy at this store, after returning another poor little one i had previously gotten at Petco, that was way too tiny and stopped eating. (needles to say that no one at Petco has nearly the knowledge the personal at the Reptile Factor have.) The feeder insects have good prices as well and are clean and healthy. I drive 1/2 hour one way if I need new things for my pet. Since my beardy was hand raised by Derek, who i love especially because of his expertise and patience to answer all questions i might have, i was able to get him taken care of there as well, when we went on a camp trip recently. And last: when ever i had a question or concern about my pet i was able to connect via instagram or txt message and got advise and help immediately. THANK YOU everyone at Reptile Factory for caring so much about your animals and their well being; and for your smiles and will to share...
