I took my family in to the location on Paramount and Firestone for dinner on Saturday night and once we get there there was an awful smell of sewage line in the restaurant, I asked the hostess about the smell and she said there was a problem with one of the rest rooms. We decided to stay and started to order our food, the pancakes that my daughter order were falling apart as if they were not cooked all the way, I ordered the Turkey dinner with cornbread stuffing and when I received my ordered it did not look very appetizing, the mashed potatoes were very dry and the Turkey was cut into small pieces, it was suppose to be strips and the cornbread stuffing was missing. I asked the waitress about it and she checked with the cook who said he had just started making it, after I received my order. She brought me what she said was suppose to be the stuffing, about 15 min after I started to eat but it looked like oat meal. The stuffing was pureed and watery, it was disgusting and I told her I didnt want it anymore. The worst part of the night was when my wife kept fanning a nat away from the table, I looked up and saw nats and flies up and down the wall right above us! I was furious and called the waitress over and showed her the nats! She said "yeah, we have been having problems with flies" I immediately told her that I was not paying for any of the orders and she mentioned she would give me the managers card, she seemed to admit to knowing about the nat problem but they did nothing about it, they were still open despite of the sewage smell and nat infestation. I was extremely upset and told her they should not even be open, they are going to get people sick! We left very disappointed, very upset. It is wrong of that location to be open and serving undercooked foid to people while having awful smells and nats infestation problems. I will be calling the...
Read moreToday I went to I HOP in Downey with my wife and mother in law around around 1:40 p.m. When we got here the host was not friendly or hospitable. We got a waitress that looked like she was in a bad mood, not very pleasant. My wife and I ordered hamburgers, which were good. My mother in law ordered a grilled chicken hamburger with wheat toast bread. Her sandwich did not look good. Her meat was greasy and did not taste good. It tasted as if it was microwaved she only ate half of it. I ordered a coffee and the cup was dirty . It looked like cheese in the bottom of the cup and the side. That was really disgusting. My mother in law felt sick to her stomach a short time later. I don’t know what went wrong today at this restaurant but we surely won’t be coming here again any time soon. I spent $51 for an unpleasant experience. Workers should not be hired if they can’t make your dining experience a memorable one. The owners should reevaluate their employees and hold them accountable for their actions. As for me I would like my money back for the inconvenience. I am disabled and don’t come out much because of my illness but when I do, I want to enjoy these moments with my family. I believe it’s very important to hold high standards when serving others. Read moreMy fiancée and I had come in around 5am. Walked in the door and waited about 5 minutes to be seated. There was one visible guest other than us and another had come in after us. The one after us had received his food first, even got to pay and leave before we ever got our food. Doorbell had chimed signaling the second guest had left. Still no food. Took about 45 minutes.
We had ordered To-go with what we were eating and that made it to the table when our sides (eggs, hashbrown, bacon, toast) had. My fiancée had ordered French toast, never received it. I ordered the Raspberry crepes and the only redeemable thing about it was the frozen and still cold glazed raspberries. The crepe was practically just eggs. Hashbrowns had looked like they came off a premade pan, burnt, and then served. Food was okay.
Towards the end of the meal she had been very pushy for us to pay and leave. It was the end of her shift as she walked out while I am typing this in the parking lot. The whole time she was more invested in talking to her coworkers than anything else. The first guest had seemed very upset with the service as well, mumbling quite a bit.
TLDR; Food was gross, service was terrible, I’d rather travel the 40 miles to my hometown IHOP...
