Lighting Design — Attraction in Draper

We came in twice, the first time, just browsing and then a week later, after looking at numerous other lighting stores and still not finding what would work for our master bath remodel. Drew helped us both times and when I explained my design dilemma and pulled up a photo of the vanity and tiles for our project, he was able to direct me right to a set of lights that were perfect and that tied into the tile design on our floor. Next, because these were clear glass globes and would look best with a vintage style bulb, he was able to find me the right bulbs to give me the more white light I wanted, yet not so bright that they blinded me. He spent time letting me try various bulbs to see what would work. This wasn't a large sell for him, but he helped me like I was a repeat customer. I have to say also that I found their selection and prices to be even better than other stores, including the home improvement giants. Highly recommend this lighting store. If you walk in and start browsing, be patient until a service representative can greet and help you. I promise, you'll get their full attention. I found the initial browse time relaxing and helpful in my process - to really see what the different lights had to offer and it helped me to better give feedback to Drew. I have read some of the reviews on here and I think that anyone who takes offense at not being greeted right away is not giving into the creative process...

The showroom is nice with a decent selection. We came in and shopped the entire store and not even one of the six or so employees ever greeted or looked at us. Not even a simple hello!!! After finding two potential fixtures, we went to the sales counter and watched four employees clacking on their computers and playing on their phones. Not even one of them looked up or aknowleded we were even there. I cleared my throat a few times to try to get even one of them to look up, none of them did. After NEARLY FIVE MINUTES of watching them COMPLETELY IGNORE US we left. This was the saddest customer service I have ever experienced. Pitiful. I could understand if they were busy with customers, but we were the only shoppers in the store! We ended up going to Lighthouse and they were awesome! They greeted us immediately, were friendly and helpful. We ended up buying a $400 fixture from them. Lighting Design seriously needs to train their staff to aknowledge and communicate with customers! You lost a potential customer and got this one star review as a result of your lousy, non-existent...

This place opened my eyes and turned the lights on to a lot of great lighting options for me. Pictures cannot tell the story of this place. The selection online is much larger than what they can display in the store. Yet, you want to come into the store because they can offer you a better price. The sales staff is so helpful and patient. We were helped by Melanie and Vanessa, and they have professional opinions and knowledge about the products and options.

The store displays are a great place to start and see what style and decor you and leaning toward. We took home a lot of printed pages to consider. No sales pressure; just a lot of thought provoking answers to all of our many questions and honest opinions about style and choices. If you see something you like online or somewhere else, they can probably find it or something similar. This is one place where you want to go...
