We absolutely love Habit Burger, and have been to many locations dozens of times. What happened tonight made me so upset! We placed our order before 8pm, a full hour before closing. The gentleman who took our order let us know that they were out of shredded lettuce, bacon, and a few other items. No problem, we confirmed they still had everything for cheeseburgers, fries, sweet potato fries, and drinks-he said yes. We placed our order, he gave us the buzzer, and we waited patiently. When our buzzer went off, we walked to the counter and after ordering full combo meals for our entire family, there on the counter was nothing but four burgers. He said “our fryer is down, sorry. Here is a coupon for a free burger.” And walked away. My husband asked for a refund and he said he couldn’t do that, but that’s why he gave us a coupon. As we take our food to sit down, this young man is filling out and completing his closing checklist. It is 8pm! They do not close until 9!! They literally chose to take our order, take our money, and then empty and shut down the fryer instead of completing our order, so they could complete their closing list early. And to top it off, as we get up to leave, THEY TAKE ANOTHER PERSONS ORDER, and do not tell them the fryer is down, so I said to the other customer “don’t pay him until he gives you your food, we paid and then they insist their fryer is down” and walked out. I’ve never left a poor review-I am a very understanding customer-but the lack of professionalism and refusal to refund our portion of the meals we did not receive and the nerve to then take another person’s order to do the same thing to them was too much. We will never return to this location. It was 8:11 on when we left the restaurant....
Read moreI like the food at Habit. Unfortunately, it can be a very frustrating place to eat. About half the time they get my order wrong. It's really simple, but it comes back incorrect. I don't think some of the people in the kitchen read the tickets.
One of the items I used to like there was the SB Cobb salad. It's suppose to their "signature salad." And when it's made right, I would agree. Unfortunately, now they don't toss the cobb dressing in, they put it on the side.
Adding dressing in after the salad is made is a mess, and it never tastes right. The dressing just can't be mixed in properly, so there's either too much or too little. The SB Cobb salad is now SB no more! Too bad. It was a signature salad, now it just dead meat on lettuce. Way to go Habit.
Yeah, I know I can tell them when I order, and I have. They simply ignore my request, so I finally got tired of it. You should hear the excuses I've been given. It's laughable.
I'm going to write Creed a letter at Yum brands. Maybe he can fix the problem. I've got a few interesting stories to tell him about some of the mangers at Habit also.
(The "Owner" wants to reach out and gather more information. Well, the information is in the review. Toss the cobb dressing into the salad. It's Habit's signature salad--isn't it. That's as far as the reaching out needs to be. Let's start with that. It's interesting how many managers, owners or time card stampers want people who have given less than perfect reviews to contact them so they can get more information. Read the review, fix the problems, be consistent. listen to the customer, read the tickets in the kitchen, and when there's a mistake don't say, "I'm sorry" just say, "Please let me fix that for you right now." It's...
Read moreWe have been coming to Habit since moving to the valley in 2017. It has been one of our favorite places to bring our family to eat. We moved to the opposite side of the valley last year, but still stop in for a meal anytime we are in Sandy. We ate here for the first time in a few months today and were so disappointed. We all ordered char burgers and were so let down with the quality. The burgers used to be juicy and consistent. This time they were dry with chewy pieces of meat. They seem to have done a whole brand revamp and the quality of everything has drastically decreased. For a family of 4 with 2 kids meals it was nearly $60. What threw us off on top of the drop in quality was that they are now charging for their condiments, ranch specifically. We used to get large ranch sides for no charge. All of the sudden we are having to pay $.60 for a tiny side of ranch. The meal has naturally increased in price with the economy which is understandable but charging that much for so little ranch is crazy when we are already paying so much for a meal. When we asked the assistant manager she said it was a recent policy change and then backtracked and said they have always charged for ranch in the three years that she has been there which obviously hasn’t been the case in our experience. She also told us her manager would be in soon and then backtracked saying she would be in tomorrow which again makes us question her reliability. After our experience, we will not be wasting our time or money here anymore. What was once was a great place for a family meal is now overpriced and...
