Expensive!! Cheating!! Bad Communication!!

We bought a bracelet, after two days we went to exchange with other jewelry or coin, First the weight of the bracelet reduced compared to the actual weight, it means all their weighing machines are not accurate. Next day we have verified the price at other stores and also compared with Indian jewelry,(Example :24Carrot-1Gram@$39, they sold 22 carrot 1Gram@$59) We requested them to exchange, they are not willing to take it back, on top of that they were tried to threatened us by shouting and showing attitude. All my family felt very bad due to the way they behaved(Owner behaved like a delinquent, barbaric). Even the gold coin price rate more at this shop( around $50 more to online price, $30 more to other stores). They are not confident to take their item back. Because the jewelry may not even 22 carrot, they don’t have karat meter to test gold accuracy, We will pay money to them to get all bad words. I am trying complain at consumer forum soon about this incident. Keep out of this shops!! to keep your mind peaceful and happy, find other stores please, this is not right place!! I only gave this establishment one star because they actually let me in the store... I brought in a small bracelet that I received as a birthday present from a relative. I wanted it melted down into a freeform, maybe hammered gold ring instead.

The staff looked at me like I was crazy. After explaining my request, the woman tells me the bracelet is not real gold. I tell her yes, it's 14k, and it's stamped. She disappears with my bracelet, comes back and tells me the piece is unacceptable. I explain that I don't want to sell it; I want it melted down. She states again that it's unacceptable. I ask if unacceptable means they can't do the work, or is it not real gold. She confirmed that it's real gold, and hands the bracelet back to me.

Clearly, Kumar Jewelers does't want my business. That was a lousy experience. Never to go there...

The best of the best. My dad started going here about 27 years ago when their location was in Santa Clara and we have been loyalists ever since then. My dad goes there and now I go there, it’s a family tradition.
