Disappointing Experience with Poor Customer Service
My family and I used to be regulars at this açaí place, despite living far away. We don’t mind driving long distances for a place we love, and initially, our visits were enjoyable. However, one incident left me disappointed enough to stop returning.
On one occasion, I visited alone to pick up to-go bowls for my family. I kept the order simple—basic with several add-ons. One of the owners (as she mentioned) was the only one working that day and commented, “I’m going to give you a discount because you have so many additional toppings.” I politely thanked her and even said, “You don’t have to,” to which she replied, “Oh, I know I don’t have to.” While it might seem minor, her tone came off as dismissive and simply rude.
She gave me a small discount (around $4), which I appreciated, and I even tipped generously—around $10—because I like to acknowledge hard work, I’m that type of customer. However, when I got home, I realized all the medium-sized bowls I ordered had very little açaí and an overwhelming amount of granola on top, despite specifically asking for no granola on the base. I had chosen medium-sized bowls because I wanted more açaí, but that clearly didn’t happen. The amount of açaí was the amount of the small bowls.
To sum up, the owner’s attitude during that interaction and the lack of care in fulfilling my order the way I wanted, left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. I don’t mind paying extra for quality and quantity, but I expect the product to match what I ordered and for customer service to reflect respect.
I hope this store continues to improve, but unfortunately, I won’t...

I'm kidding, I've visited here. It's in the expensive category in terms of business pricing bracket.
Small business, which is good. Planet smoothie better. They have 7 dollars mondays. Not the best, but should try.
They have applications. Try.

Probably need to Google while I'm googling what project 2025 is.

Um... Acai is basically frozen blueberries that only grows in Brazil.
Shipped here frozen.
She was so nice and told me that price is justified due to the price of the ingredients. Which I agree $12 for small 16oz bowl of fruits.
Um... But imagine the price with higher tax being forced on foreign nation. "Tariffs"

Read moreToday, we visited Acai Express in Duluth, and it was an exceptional experience! We were warmly welcomed by three delightful staff members. I tried the Cocoa Beach Bowl, a delicious blend of açai with banana, strawberry, coconut milk, and peanut butter, topped with granola, banana, almonds, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of honey.
I also treated my puppy to a Pikole, the Petcicle version, which he happily shared with his friend.
Not to be overlooked, my girlfriend enjoyed the Valentine Bowl, and our cousin savored the Coco Love – a vegan coconut delight. All of us, including our furry companions, found everything incredibly delicious. We can’t wait to return!...
