I'm really disappointed. I came to the restaurant about a month ago and actually enjoyed it. I came back for a second time and I have to say, I'll never be coming back.
First off, it's so loud that I have to speak up to be able to hear someone across the table.
Secondly, the cold soba was a disappointment. I've had better soba at a common food court in Korean grocery stores. The soup was bland and watered down slowly by the ice cubes put in the soup. Good approach to keep the noodles cold but a huge fail because they didn't put the flavor in consideration.
Lastly and most importantly, I've worked in retail and service industry my whole life. Never have I had the owner of the store come out to individual tables and refused the seat them or try to move people already sitting down. As you may or may not know, this is a self service restaurant. You order the food at the front and when the ringer rings, you bring your own food to the table and seat yourself. The table right next to mine was a 3 person table and when they sat down, the owner came out running, telling them they cannot sit there since it has to be over 6 people to sit there. Mind you, there are 2 chairs with a bench on the other side and it wasn't enough space for 6 people. I was sitting at the table right next to them which was the same size and the owner insisted they move to a smaller table (there wasn't one available). Every time someone drops something or a loud noise occurs, she would glare into that direction and make a face. It made me extremely uncomfortable and the way she treated the party of 3 would have angered me if I was in the situation.
I would highly suggest either going to this place during the weekday when it's not as busy or avoid it just because I don't believe in supporting businesses who cannot treat each and every one of their customers with respect ESPECIALLY if they haven't done...

This is a self service Japan-Korean restaurant. Like in food courts, you place your order at the front, they give you a buzzer, you pick up your food when itâs out. You get your own water and utensils as needed. It looks like a hole in the wall from the outside, but inside, youâll find plenty of seats, and a beautifully minimalist interior. Itâs simple and chic, a strong contrast to the orientalist aesthetic of Raku and other ramen shops. Think Muji if Muji was a restaurant.
We ordered the Shoyu and Donkotsu ramen as well as the regular Katsu. They were all delicious. The ramen comes with half of a regular boiled egg, instead of the marinated eggs which was a bit of a bummer. Noodles themselves were perfect. Slight chew, wavy noodles perfect for slurping. I swear the Donkotsu tastes really similar to Kokomyeon, but that might be why I enjoyed it so much lol
The Katsu was perfectly fried and honestly the best of the three. It came with cabbage salad and a small side of udon. You could hear the crisp when you bit into it. The meat wasnât too thick or too thin. I loved the side salad it came with. It had a different sauce than the usual Katsu cabbage salads (oyster sauce), but I preferred this one. The udon was definitely on the sweet side, but still quite yummy.
Portion sizes were average for the price. Nothing too big or too small. Was happy with what we got.
We will definitely be back to try the curry Katsu...
Read moreIt took me a few minutes to find it but eventually after parking I found it in a small corner near the supermarket. It has a nice ambiance at walking in. This restaurant is a self pickup and self clean up. First the order begins at the front where the menu is displayed, then a buzzer is given to retrieve the food from the pick up area, in the same area there are utensils, napkins, and dishes to share. Once you pick up your own food, there are booths and tables available. There's a water station to refill your own water near the pick up area. There's a return section that reminds me of school cafeteria where you place your tray for the person on the other side to pick up. The restrooms are near the return area, it was a clean two stall restroom. The food is a good value for the money and it's a nice family atmosphere, as for a date I'd say if you're willing to show your caring side then it's a good choice but you will have to pick up your food, refill your own water, and return plates. One thing to mention the rice is dry and not soft like good steam...
