Wow... if I could rate this place zero stars, I would be more than happy to!!! I cannot even believe what has just happened. My father just went to this bakery, and he got kicked out. My father was taking pictures of all of the different breads, and he sent them to our family group chat to see which ones we wanted. However, the male employee who works here asked if my father was the owner of the Tree Story Bakery. Of course, he is not. This employee was in the late 40s or the early 50s and wore glasses. He looked like the owner of this bakery. The male employee stated that he was suspicious since the Tree Story owner had recently changed, and he thought that my father was taking pictures of the bread to check the prices. He didn't seem to believe in my father, so he showed him our family group chat and the photos that he sent to us. Even so, the employee did not believe us, and he decided to kick my father out. He even touched all of the breads and left them on his tray... I don't know what they will do to the breads that my father touched, but my family was planning to buy a lot of bread. I'm just warning the people out there. They will despise you, and they will be skeptical if you take pictures. This is such a disappointment and absolutely ridiculous. The most thing that I am absolutely disappointed in is the fact that the employee wasn't wearing a mask!! How awful is that!? I just hope that this will never ever happen to anybody else.
2/05/21: As you stated before, I realized that there really IS God's truth. I am not trying to argue with you, and I am not trying to seek any sort of revenge. My family and I thought that it was completely absurd for you to assume things in the first place. You did not only assume that my father was a Tree Story Bakery owner, but you even assumed that my father’s story was false. My father had the right to be angry even after he showed you his evidence on his phone or “flashed his phone”. If you were my father, wouldn’t you be, as well? Do you really think we wanted to post a review to be disrespectful? We are trying to understand your situation, but it is not making sense. We have seen how you have reacted and responded to your customers that have rated your bakery with 1 star. I am not the only one, and I believe that this should never happen to other customers ever again. Simply, I am trying to clearly understand your side of the story; however, if you don't want any bad reviews like mine in the future, then please consider the following suggestions.
Please place a clear sign if you don't want your customers to take pictures.
Please wear a mask for you, your family, your employees, and your customers if you want your business to be safe for all individuals.
Please be kind to all of your customers and apologize if you were involved in an inappropriate situation right then, especially when interacting with your customers instead of kicking them out. One word "sorry" plays a big role, especially in the world we live in today where many people trust other people's reviews. It would have also tremendously saved our time on this review. I am so grateful that you apologized and responded to my review after all that has happened. However, it seems quite abnormal for you to apologize and then threaten our family to post your “side of the story” if you create frequent counterarguments to defend yourself.
I do not need to see any other response. Please do not expect me to respond to anything anymore. I have stated what I have truly felt about your business as my honest review. Now, it's up to the other customers to see how the owner of this business handles things. Whoever visits your store will understand where my review came from...
Read more‼️Do not spend your hard earned money here if you are okay with a company prioritizing profit margins over customer service and longevity.‼️
My friend is a long time customer and she simply enters the establishment and orders a strawberry tart quite regularly. Customers are awarded with a complimentary coffee and cream puff after spending a hundred dollars. Quite personally I don’t think that deal is of good value as a hundred dollars is quite a bit of money that the average customer does not spend all at once , but better than nothing I guess.
My friend recently overcame some health issues that prevents coffee from being a part of her regular diet. She asked if, because of her medical issue, a coffee could be substituted for a tea, and instead of taking the curtsey and care to ask a manager, she tells my friend no. The main issue here is the lack of curtesy for customers with medical issues and the need to be right.
My friend returns to the establishment in hopes to speak with the manager as she enjoys this place but felt uncomfortable with the way she was treated and that there was no effort for accommodation due to medical reasons. My friend asks for the manager and is denied to see them. The cashier says “I’ve already talked to her. I already know she would say no” which made the situation all the worse and she states it’s the policy. She also states“They may do that at other places but not here”. I found that very demeaning towards my friend and it’s very ironic how after someone spent over $100 dollars at an establishment they are being treated like this. A small business should value their customers continued support and I personally do not feel like a substitution like this would hurt the company’s books. If that is the policy then so be it, but it’s the lack of sympathy for my friend’s situation and refusal of the manager that is the real concern here
For a small business to thrive long term , customer service is crucial and I see other one star reviews begin to pile up on their google reviews. I hope the takeaway is that Hansel and Gretels acknowledges the importance of customer accommodation and if not possible, the curtsey to ask and advocate for the customer. From the bottom of my heart Hansel and Gretel Suwanee, do better. Value the customers that choose your establishment over all the competition in the area. I’m sure she was not the only customer that feels like this or has been...
Read moreOver all price is really over priced but I still go mostly everyday to get some creampuff, cake, breads, etc and spend at least over $50 each visit. After I heard about the incident about poor Korean guy got kicked out because he was taking picture of the breads because there was so many bread choices and sending it to his family member. When I first heard what happened I was so shocked and could not believed what I read. Really disappointed and time like this is really hard for people because covid19 and as covid19 surviver wearing masking number priority and for safety of our people but the fact that the owner never wear face mask and even when I went there the owner never mind to wear mask. Also time like this everyone is having hard time and spending money isn't easy but customer like that poor Korean guy who wanted to stop by Hansel and Gretel because he wanted to stop by because bakery was on on the way home. He wanted to spend his money and buy breads for his family and got stopped the owner without wearing any mask and asked to leave because he was taking pictures? That is a really bad business and if you think your business is number one and have confident selling your merchandise you wouldn’t accuse someone that just wanted to buy breads for his family and that his from another bakery trying to get prices. I really am disappointed and with previous owner this never happened. Can’t believe I spend my money in this place. I will tell my friends and families who is also big spender at...
