I cannot believe that lack of knowledge and help by the provider at Duke Neurology. I took my mother there several years ago Duke where she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. This is my second parent with this disease, and being a full-time caregiver. (I could have given her same diagnosis.) My mother is not swallowing, and when I reached out to Duke Neurology, I was told this change is does not advance like this and that I should take her to the emergency room! The only other suggestion is that I take her to her primary care doctor that has no experience in dealing with 88 year old people with Alzheimer's disease. Why go to Duke Neurology if they will not help you when you need them. They have not followed up with me at all as her disease has advanced. My father's doctor from MGH in Massachusetts, was attentative, and kept me aware of how to deal with the disease as it advanced. Duke Neurology sends you on your way after the diagnosis and you have to do your own research on caring for the patient. I wish I had gone to UNC because the care could not be...

Dr. Timothy Collins has FAILED to provide ANY value to us. No treatments alleviated my wife's headaches. Entire process has been a massive waste of time, gas and money and I suspect administrative employees may be engaging in embezzlement or other illegal activities with patients records.
Spouse was referred here by our regular doctor. Took 6+ months to get an appointment, and of course insurance changed by the time that appointment rolled around. Had to go through the whole thing a second time. Three months after appointment, got a bill for $300 from Duke Hospitals. Turns out if you walk through the doors you pay $300 each time. They've put up signs and notices about the double billing but this IS NOT A HOSPITAL. Scammy behavior exploiting...
Read moreWish there were more options....Doctors are okay but it takes 6 months sometimes to get appointments. The wait times are absolutely aweful. You show up for an appointment and you are told it's an hour and a half wait. Of cours it's longer than that! You would think with modern technology they would at least be able to send you a text saying they are running behind so you did not have to waist your time getting there on time only to find out they are running behind. It would be nice if I could say this was an isolated incident. Unfortunately there is just no choice and they take advantage of that. If you consistently can not keep appointments in a reasonable amount of time then perhaps you should reconsider the process of how you schedule your...
