My daughter and I visited this store for the first time yesterday. As we looked around, we saw a large Ermenegildo Zegna bag on display and on sale for $7.05 - WOW. It showed the original price of $23.50, then marked down to $9.40 and then a red line through that price and the price of $7.05. I asked the clerk if we had to purchase the perfume in order to purchase the bag and she said no. So, I said we would take one. She went and got the bag for us and rang it up on the register. She said it would be $10.07 (9.40 plus tax of .67) ...I told her the sign said the bag was marked down to $7.05. She left the register and walked over to the bag on display and said the marked down price on the display bag was wrong. My daughter stated they needed to honor the discounted price on the display bag. The clerk took the discounted sign off of the bag and went in the back. She then came out with her manager and they stood at the counter and the clerk said we were asking for a refund of the overcharge - a mere $2.35 plus .17 tax. For the next five minutes, the manager stood in front on the register and tried to figure out how to enter a refund of the overcharge. I finally told her to just forget it. It just did not make sense to me that neither of these women could figure out how to open the register drawer and give me $2.52 and figure out how to reconcile it on the register after we left. I came to return and exchange a make up remover âTake the day offâ from Clinique because it was too oily and I was getting a rash. Sales representative was so upset with my request and without looking at my receipt she said that she wouldnât return it because the product looks frozen. I explained to her that it was in my backpack and it got shaken, not frozen since it was 35F outside. Then she switched to her next argument which is that they donât give returns and exchanges since it was a final sale. I showed her my receipt and was trying to explain that it wasnât a final sale item and if it was it should have had a red stamp that says so. Also, on the receipt it says returns accepted for exchange or store credit only, but she replied that she can read english and it doesnât matter what it says on the receipt. I asked her name and she wrote it on my back of receipt, but the name she wrote down didnât match her name tag and I asked why she wrote a completely different name. She said that her apron was dirty, so that she put on somebodyâs apron. I assumed that she was trying to get out of responsibility by blaming somebody else. Her name on the name tag was Jenn and on attached photo you can see what she wrote. I was attempting to provide her with my CCS account number during checkout, but she refused to take it before starting to scan my items and impatiently told me to "BE PATIENT!" Once she finished scanning, I noticed that not all the items promised by the store were included. I showed her the store's promotional page and asked if those items were available. However, she insisted that the price I received was already the best deal and refused to provide the gift for the 4th of July Sizzling Savings, as listed on the outlet store's website.
I also requested her to link my order to my CCS account, but she became angry and refused, claiming that it would require her to rescan everything. It's important to note that I had initially asked her to do this at the beginning of the transaction. Frustrated, I paid and left, intending to call and speak to the store manager about the poor service.
Unfortunately, when I called, the same cashier who handled my order answered the phone. As soon as she realized that I wanted to file a complaint, she asked me to wait and abruptly...
