To be fair I want to say right off that I work there, and have since 2010.Since then we have done some major upgrades on the cars and venues, and offer different routes as well.Unfortunatley, it is hard for folks to leave a review when they are happy, seems to only work when they are unsatified. With that being said, I encourage you to veiw our reviews on Trip Advisor and Facebook to get a real feel for our company. I am currently in the process of working with google to make sure our satisfied and happy customers have an easier way to leave their reviews as well . here a few recent ones from Trip Advisor “Fun holiday outing for the kids” 5 of 5 starsReviewed December 3, 2013 via mobile We rode on the Santa Express and the staff was very kind and helpful. Seeing Santa was a big hit and Mrs. Claus was pleasant and funny. We rode in first class and there were cookies provided and you also have the options of ordering other foods and drinks including adult beverages. The trip was 1.5 hours including a 30... The skit was well done. Fun for all ages. They would repeat the lines for the other half of the open car passengers. (We could not hear the story due to the wind and train noise since we were in the open, covered car.) When it became to warm, we could go inside an air-conditioned car. The actors spent... Read moreI bought four "executive" tickets for the dinner train. There wasn't much difference between that highest class of service and the middle class that they call "first class". The ride to dinner was nice, but they then served us our buffet dinner last. That meant that the highest class of service got the least amount of time to eat dinner. How can you mismanage a buffet? For one, just have coleslaw for one line and potato salad for the other line. Then you refuse to buy two more chaffing dishes. That way you have to put the baked beans with the cold potato salad and the cold coleslaw chaffing dishes. Have you ever tried to eat ice cold baked beans? Then my party of four got one table spoon full of potato salad and a teaspoon full of beans. The executive party after us got no potato salad nor beans! Hey, at least the cheapest fare of ticket got all they wanted, right? I know that we all don't want to waste food, but running out of food that I paid top dollar for is unforgivable. Is that any way to run a railroad? There's one fully equipped bar located in the "first class" car. I saw a bottle of gin and a bottle of vodka there. I asked the young barmaid for a martini. Both bar tenders said that they didn't have the means to make a martini. So, I asked for a simple rum and Coke. She said that she couldn't make one of those, because they didn't have rum. I then politely pointed to the bottle of Meyer's Rum. I then got my rum and Coke. They were only lacking an olive to make my martini. They were also lacking the most important ingredients of all- basic bartending knowledge and a desire to serve. I give the Thunder Mountain Line two stars, because the ride itself was...
