Nissin Foods — Attraction in East Hempfield Township

Had an appointment of either 9:30 pm or 7 am the following morning. Couldn't get there by 9:30 that evening but when we did get there later the girl in the office( at the 128 south tree Dr address) asked me if I minded waiting until first thing in the am so I said that would be fine. So when I got up the next morning & went to the office the guy at the dock informed me that my appt time want until 1pm! WELL why would my broker tell me it was 9:30 pm or 7 am the next day if it wasn't! Meanwhile, I'm sitting out in their parking lot (for the night), I notice some employees hanging out around the dumpster that evening, then around 2:30 am-3:30 am I notice a red car that was there earlier pull in up to the dumpster & get a big box out of the dumpster & put it in his car, a big guy, now what would he be getting out of the dumpster that time of the night? Hmmmm..... well, I WILL NOT be going back to that place again! I'm not gonna be lied to! not gonna sit all day either! I'm sick of companies taking advantage of truck drivers...

We booked a load with broker NFI for a 9:00 AM pickup @11AM. Due to a missed appointment, our truck arrived at the facility at 12:05 PM — not ideal, but still reasonable for a reschedule. Despite that, the truck was held at the facility until 9:00 PM, almost 9 full hours of detention with no clear communication or updates. This is not just poor customer service — it’s a clear disregard for DOT Hours of Service regulations. Facilities like this seem to forget that drivers are human beings with federally regulated hours, not just assets to sit in a lot all day. It’s becoming more common to see brokers and shippers punish carriers for things beyond their control, while taking no responsibility for their own delays or mismanagement. The system is broken when carriers and drivers are doing everything they can to survive in this market. This kind of behavior is destroying the trucking industry. Showed up an hour before my appointment to pickup a load. Waited 3 hours to get a door I was finally next in line then they gave 3 trucks that had just got there a door ahead of me. I went in the office and all they could tell me was its going to be a while. I left. There are plenty of loads out there and not worth waiting another 3 hours to get this one. I wish I would have read other truckers reviews before I took this load. More of us need to leave when we get screwed around and maybe places like this will get...
