I live in Granby, MA and have heard great things about Orangetheory classes, so I signed up online for the 'first class free' promo. I subsequently spoke with an employee on the phone and received an email confirmation for the 'purchase' of my complimentary class. I also received email and text reminders about the class which was supposed to be tonight. I was so excited to attend my first class! I told at least a half dozen people about it. Late this morning I received a call from the manager who explained that they made a mistake and couldn't honor the first class free because I don't live 'locally' (btw ... 'locally' is not defined on their web site by town). I live 25 minutes away, had planned to drive there to take a class and likely purchase a package, but wasn't considered local? Furthermore, I had spoken with an employee on the phone a couple days after booking online about ultimately wanting to join in Hadley when that location open. She said, "Starting in East Longmeadow is a perfect option for you." After speaking with both the manager and owner, Jessica, it was clear they were not going to honor their offer and were going to in fact charge me for the first class. After expressing my thoughts on the illegality of rescinding the offer, the unethical practice of trying to rescind it, and the poor business judgement (calling six hours before the class to say they couldn't honor the promotion they clearly offered, articulated and confirmed via email receipt and were now requiring me to pay for), I decided not to attend this evening's class. It's not about the money; it's about the principle. While this may or may not affect anyone's decision to purchase a package, I felt it important to share my experience. I'm really disappointed as I was looking forward to the class; however, I don't feel good about supporting a business that conducts business...
Read moreI love Orange Theory in general, but this location in particular takes the cake. I have been to many locations since I travel for work but nowhere is as positive and welcoming than OTF EL. Members push each other and motivate each other to do their best because the members and coaches here genuinely want to see people succeed and celebrate with them when they do and encourage them when they are having a hard time. The app that comes with your membership is awesome to track your progress and see what is going on in studio and beyond. You can register for classes on there and see how you performed. The special benchmark challenges help keep you engaged and stores your data all in one place so you can easily see how you performed compared to the last time you did the same benchmark to monitor your progress over time. There are many class times to choose from that work for everyone's schedule but 5 am is my favorite. Coaches and staff alike are always smiling and approachable. It feels like you are working out with your best friend. Special shoutout to coach Lily who is my favorite! Coach Kylie is amazing and so knowledgeable. Do not worry about getting hurt, all of the coaches are always monitoring your form and helping with any modifications you may need. This is not just for super fit, athletic people! You will find members of all shapes and sizes here. Your first class is free to try. If you want a motivating environment that keeps you on your toes and has always has the perfect playlist ready to go, come try OTF in EL! I will...

I was a college student a Springfield College, only a mile or 2 away from the studio. I was always involved in my own fitness, not really interested in the idea of group fitness, however, I was in a rough spot not enjoying my time in college and had no one to really turn to. Upon receiving a premier membership as a gift, I began to take some classes at Orangetheory East Longmeadow. The staff was so incredibly friendly I felt like I was recognized as one of their own every time I walked in. I took my first 50+ classes with the crew here at East Longmeadow before graduating and moving back home. I was truly inspired by world class coaches here, such as Meg, Jenn, Julia, and Lauren and the entire team. I was touched by the bonds they formed with me and left Massachusetts feeling like I had a renewed interest in fitness and for helping others. Since then, I have been working for Orangetheory since May 2024 and have become a fitness coach at my home studio in Western New York as well in an effort to follow the mission of Orangetheory of helping our community achieve MORE LIFE. This mission has been set by those of which I have been inspired by at OTF East Longmeadow. I am forever grateful for the relationships I formed at this studio and truly hope to visit them soon. My path, and possibly even my career has been sparked thanks to the fantastic team at OTF...
