A month or so ago, after stopping to use the restroom, I had noticed a flat tire on my vehicle. I immediately called a family friend for help and support. Luckily, not only did he have the proper tools that were needed, he was also passing the area that I was stranded. Unfortunately, the lug nuts were either so old, or on way too tight ⁹, because I broke 3 out of the 5. SMH. David, was the security man, was very friendly and assured me that my vehicle would be alright and also that it would not be towed. So, 2 days later, I was racking my brain about how I was going to get my vehicle fixed. I had to buy 3 new lug nuts. The nice gentleman at Auto Zone on East Brainerd Road, let me borrow an impact drill, old school model. But hey, I was very appreciative. So the day I returned to my vehicle, Mr. David was helping me once again, when a big yellow truck drove through the parking lot, driven by a man named Zac. Little did I know, that the state of Tennessee 'also' has roadside assistance as Georgia does. Zac was so awesome and I was back on the road in no time! I wish someone would have mentioned Zac a few days prior and my vehicle would now have sat there. But,...
Read moreFor the most part ok, but was extremely tired from driving and stopped here to sleep cause I was so exhausted i couldn't keep my eyes open and didn't want to danger my daughter's life, my life, or anyone else on the road and actually was awoke by the guard that was on duty and said I had to leave cause it was only 2 hr parking!!!! I mean... REALLY??? I know there are signs that say 2 hr parking but I have NEVER been woke up and asked to leave because my 2 hrs were up!!!??? I travel alot and have stopped many many times at all the rest areas all along I-24 and I-75 and still can't get over this security guard/ rent-a-guard waking us up to ask us to leave!!!!! I guess it would be better to have someone falling asleep driving with their child in the vehicle and to endanger the lives of everyone on the interstates than to allow them to stay past 2hrs......go figure!!!! He has been the only one to EVER do this, wish I hadn't been so tired and would have gotten his name!!!! I guess to say, just don't ever stop here between 2nd shift hours unless you can leave quickly!!! Dont think if he's there, that you could even rest your...
Read moreThis is the worst welcome center or rest area i have ever stopped at. if you have been on the road for a long time and need to sleep for a little while, do not stop here. There is a two hour time limit at this center and it is strictly enforced. After having traveled from the bottom of Florida, this was the first welcome i have ever visited with a time limit. I was stopping for a few minutes but a truck driver was changing a tire while i was there. While this man was working his butt off, what looked like a 'cop wanna be' stood 15 ft away, constantly checking his watch. This went on for the whole time the driver was changing his tire. I just couldn't stand how that lazy "guard/cop" or whatever stood there, on the tax payers dime, obnoxiously making it clear that he wanted that truck driver gone. There was hardly any trucks or cars there so it wasn't like the driver was blocking anyone. Bottom Line; you are not...
