EDIT:: so I had received a comp card for two which doesnāt include my son, but thatās OK. We can work with that and we decided to go to another location that weāve normally had a good experiences at which is the Shallowford Road location and unfortunately that one let us down as well. The person that we had Seemed extremely rude and standoffish and I donāt remember his name at all, but he was an extremely buff gentleman who look like he should be working at a gym, not to be rude or anything. He seemed kind of frustrated when we showed that we had a cop card and then thatās when his tone of voice had changed and it felt like he was being completely standoffish And we did get our drinks and our rolls before our food promptly, which was nice but he did have an attitude about it as soon as he sat down the drinks and the bread and said weāre trying to get your food out as fast as possible and I said thereās no worries and thank you, but then they missed two of my partner sides, which was coleslaw and a baked potato, and he accidentally was trying to give the baked potato to the table behind me And they said we didnāt order a baked potato so then he comes to me and says youāre the one who ordered a baked potato see it didnāt take long now did it and he still never got his coleslaw and my steak was unfortunately all fat there was barely any meat but I guess thatās just the way New York strips are made. I normally donāt have that I have sirloin and he also called me, Babyš, which I donāt know if thatās a term of endearment for him, but I felt really uncomfortable with it and as soon as we were given our food, he gave us our check which I thought was a bit weird, but I really donāt think weāre gonna be back to any of the locations around our area anymore. This is the third time now and this is at a different location and it doesnāt feel right anymore.
I have been at this location twice and unfortunately, I will not be back at this location anytime in the future. The first time that I came to this location was a couple months ago with my son and his friend for a play date and Iāve decided to take them out for dinner and we were met with some pretty unsavory service or waitress that we had Had made us wait over three hours for food and drinks and Iām not sure what issue they were having that day, but they were venting to pretty much any customer they could and then walked out after they got in trouble for something so it ended up being three hours of a way to get anything to eat and at that point I was just trying to be nice because they ended up giving us a server whoās not even a server but a host and they said if I would stay, they would call my meal so I tried to be nice and I gave the host a $15 tip Because thatās not his job. He should not be doing that whatsoever, but I did appreciate the service that he tried to provide. The next time that we came was just a few nights ago and our waitress was nice as she could be, but we were waiting for about an hour again at this location and when I got my food, my mashed potatoes were completely rocksolid, and all of my food was lukewarm at best and they were missing my gravy as well as Missing my partners hashbrowns, and the hashbrowns were supposed to come with his breakfast plate that he had ordered, but they charged him an extra $.99 for it, but I donāt think that was needed at all so we will definitely not be coming back to this location and Iām sorry to anyone of this may hurt or offended, but it just was a great service the two times that Iāve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, since you askedā¦. Ever since Covid, what was once a first rate #1 company has slipped consistently. Not just this visit and location but 9 out of 10 visits at multiple locations. Poor food quality, or cold food, or out of menu items. Chicken pot pie on back to back visits at two separate locations. Sorry we are out. Maybe it should be taken off the menu then? You all once had the best stew in the south. We came in just for that, no more sorry, we donāt carry it anymore. We asked to sit near a window to watch our puppies we left in the car on this visit and we were denied that view. The front dining room was packed full, every table in fact, we were assigned the last seat in that section. The back dining room where we asked to be seated had only 5 tables being used. So I got up every 15 mins and walked to an empty dining area to check on my pups looking at the window at me. Unbelievable! Hate to complain but I noticed your stock dropped $100 per share over the last several months. Iāve been in retail for 47 years and what I see with this company starts right at the top. You all need some new leadership or in my opinion, we will be reading about stores closing and maybe even out of business. No need for this at all because you all have a great model and fantastic menu. Your quality and service is not what it once was. It once was superb every visit, every location, period. No more. Today we drove by Cracker Barrel and went next door to a different place. What a shame. Just so Iām clear, this is not just one visit or one store, this is multiple visits and multiple stores. Itās an operational issue. Not the same standard you once had. Lastly, I overlooked a lot during Covid due to the help and supply chain issues, but you have not rebounded after Covid. Maybe this will be a wake up call. A once extremely loyal customer.
Note, I get good, bad and ugly comments in the state where I manage multiple stores in the grocery industry. This may not even get to key leadership; however, I very rarely complain, and this is strictly because I really like your company and there is no reason you all canāt re-group, retrain and breathe new life back into your business. But it will take a strong leader. You all are in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpon arrival, we had high hopes for this Cracker Barrel! It was clearly newly renovated and very light and bright. However, the rest of our experience was less impressive. Our server was rather inattentive. While I don't like to be smothered, it is nice when 3 of the 4 people in our party have empty drinks for 10+ minutes if she would check in. It started with little things. I asked for unsweetened tea with lemon. No lemon, no big deal. In our bread basket, my daughter asked for cornbread while the rest of us asked for biscuits. When our basket finally arrived (after about 10 minutes...) no cornbread, just biscuits. We waited close to 30 minutes for our meals (considering there were may 30 people in the restaurant seemed a bit excessive). One of the reasons we like Cracker Barrel is the home cooked food quickly served while we are on the road. It's a step up from fast food, still reasonably priced. It's usually a 30-45 minute pit stop. We were here for an hour and twenty-five minutes on a Thursday night with a very light crowd. We still had 3 hours of travel ahead of us. Our daughter ordered grilled chicken tenders and asked for ranch dressing when she ordered. When our food finally came, it was cold as if it had been sitting and waiting for our server to pick it up. We were missing 2 sides, one side needed to replaced (they ran out of carrots) so we let our server know...and my daughter asked again for the ranch as it had not come out with the meal. A few minutes later, she returned with the sides, but still no ranch. At this point, we asked for Tobasco and vinegar for our meal, and the ranch...for the third time. She left, had a conversation with the table behind us, and a few minutes came back and asked if we needed anything. We asked again for the Tobasco, vinegar and ranch. I don't mind a reminder, these ladies are often busy. But from what we could tell, the server only had 2 tables (including ours) so this was just poor service. The food was not as good as usual, either. We are losing our interest in our traditional Cracker Barrel stop on road trips as it is no longer a quick stop for a hearty meal. This was a long stop for cold food and bad service. Very...
