I walked my dog before 8:00 this morning. There was an Eatontown DPW truck parked on the high street parking lot side. The worker seemed to be tying the fence that seperates the property of a homeowner and the park. I was able to drive pass the truck because he was PULLED TO THE SIDE. This DPW worker looked me directly in my face and continued working... i walked my dog and when it was time for me to leave, i couldn't. Apparently, The ineptitude of this single employee of DPW to not stop me from going into this parking lot KNOWING tree removal was about to take place. He literally looked me in my face. So i had to end up driving my car across the property to the South st side. There was a day camp there with teenage children. I drove about 5-7 mph through the park. A woman with the camp stops me and says "you know you can't drive through here"... Me: i mean, duh. I told her i was aware and explained(even tho i didn't owe her an explanation) that i was here before they started the tree removal and could not get out on the other side. I had to go to work! Next time, put cones in place so people know NOT TO ENTER THE PARKING LOT. The DPW employee could have even used his truck to block the entrance. He didn't even do that. He allowed me to pass. Dummy of the day, truly. PUT CONES IN PLACE...
Read moreWe use the park for my daughter's softball games only. Only this portion of the park can I attest to. The fields are always maintained and groomed. We always leave the park better than the way we found it. There's a area close by for young children to play. They have swings , monkey bars, slides and a little obstacle course (for a lack of a better term). The children's area has shredded rubber as a foundation, so kids don't get hurt from falls. They also have basketball courts that are used extensively. This is the portion of the park you may not want to leave your young children alone at due to the people who occupy the courts and use foul language. Other than that section of the park. It's a fairly nice park. I believe it can be rented for big...
Read moreSmall and decent park with baseball fields, a pavillion, and a small and stinky bathroom (hah). It also has a nice walking path, a kids jungle gym, a few basketball courts, some tennis courts, and even a wall to play a bit of racquetball on.
There is a McDonald's right next to the park on one side and a path to a residential neighborhood on the other. Not a bad little park for a local game or...
