There are a lot of reviews for Belo. And it's justified. My story isn't about food but the experience. In today's world, it is sometimes forgotten how appreciative small gestures are and how out of touch most people are these days with them. My wife and I stopped near Belo's for an appointment in another building. We went to Belo for the first time and chatted it up with the owner while just grabbing a slice. When we left the appointment a few hours later, we enjoyed the pizza so much that we went back to grab another slice and sandwich for the ride home, an hour away. The owner was incredibly nice. We spoke and had a cordial conversation about life and family. We took our food to go and got back in the car. My wife opened the box, and there were a few extra slices for us. So we did and the pasta entrees you order by the sauce type then choose a pasta. I guess my pasta choice didn’t save? Not sure but I was charged $15.99 for a side of Alfredo sauce… I really don’t know why they wouldn’t call and ask us? It’s clearly a mistake. Anyway instead they wrapped up the sauce for our pick up and then were incredibly rude about when we called to ask why there’s Alfredo sauce in a small soup container and not a dinner? Now we’re expected to go back and get the dinner we were charged for with the pasta, no refund offered just someone screaming in the background how it’s our fault. Come to find out it was fried eggplant and was not listed as that. Fried eggplant of course is not gluten free. by the time I got home and realized, Belo had closed for the night so I could not eat it. I called the next day and spoke to Dustin. Gave my order number, literally all the information he needed. Dustin said he would take care of it and give a refund. Never happened. Months later I still never received even a call back to let me know anything but they made sure they changed the “eggplant” to “fried eggplant” on the online ordering menu.
