Unfortunately, my family and I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. We went on a weekend night, and the restaurant was about ¾ full. Overall, the service was absolutely atrocious. It took quite a long time for the server to come to our table to take our order, and, once she did, an even longer time to receive our food. The personality of the server was quite distant, akin to a robot. She was not pleasant at all. My wife ordered one of the soups, which, although it should have come out right away soon after we ordered, took almost a half hour to arrive; although the soup had a nice, clean taste, it did not match its description in the menu at all. Once the server realized we still had not received our main meals after much more time had passed, she hurried to the kitchen – we believe that she had not given them our meal order, as the food came out almost immediately, way too hot and obviously made too quickly. The taste of the noodle dish was quite bland, and the entire dish was over-sauced. My salad was completely covered with the avocado sauce in a hurried fashion, which unfortunately ruined the dish and made it mostly inedible.

We have been to restaurants with worse service, but the servers were much more personable and apologetic about the slow service. On the other hand, I have seen bland servers who gave great service. But to have the worst of both worlds is a terrible experience, especially when we have a preschool-aged daughter with us who is very hungry and trying to be patient with the rest of us. Looking around the restaurant, there were several other tables that were complaining about the slow service and the taste of the food, which, although that made me feel better that our table was not the only one who was victim to this poor service/food, I was still very disappointed at our overall experience, our first and probably last one, at the...

You guys, I cannot. I REALLY wanted to like Bangkok House, especially because my experiences at Siam Garden have been A) not as delicious as I hope,d & B) way more expensive that I'm down for, but this place is just not doing it for me. In fact, I'm blown away by some of the reviews about this place. Like, we must have totally different tastebuds, because this is some of the worst Thai I've ever had, period.

I got the Pad Bai Holapa, thinking it sounded a little bit like my beloved Ka Prow, but... I didn't even eat it. I had about three bites, asked for the rest to go, & promptly threw it away when I got home. The chicken was undercooked & creepy, such that I couldn't bring myself to chew & swallow it without gagging, & even if the chicken had been better, the dish was underseasoned & bland. I'm not big on sending things back, so I just ate some of my boyfriend's food (which was fine but not great), & vowed never to return. Ever.

We were there for about 20 minutes, total, which tells me they probably didn't even have time to cook that damn chicken. Which is exactly how it tasted.

Looking for good Thai? Muang Thai in Red Bank is your new, delicious...

My friend and I had the flounder fillet special with vegetables. Although I could tell it was not flounder, and probably cod, it was delicious. We loved the variety of fresh veggies that were in the dish, kept heated by a small candle and silver casserole. From the outside of the restaurant, it looked as if it were converted from a diner. Inside, however was a beautifully decorated restaurant with lovely wooden tables, outstandingly elegant table cloths and runners, topped with glass, authentic lantern lighting and wonderful costumes that the waitresses and hostess wore. The lavatories were old but kept clean (I would suggest they install hooks inside the stalls for pocketbooks for the women). We were served at a good pace and the staff were all gracious and pleasant. The restaurant is conveniently located just about a mile or so from Monmouth Mall so after dinner we went Christmas shopping, and the stores were empty by 8pm on a Saturday night. We plan to return to this restaurant with...

First of all, I would not recommend to visit here, as it was a disappointing experience for us. We ordered: 1) Thai tea - 2/5. Overly sweet 2) Spring rolls - 1/5. Extremely bland 3) Chicken dumplings - 1/5. Extremely bland and this was just not good. 4) Drunken noodles - 1/5. It doesn't have a flavor of it's own, but is just spicy. 5) Red massaman Curry - 1/5 And surprisingly, it is extremely over priced. I have been to tons of great Thai restaurants in great location, but this one was the most overpriced. 20$ for a red curry? 12$ for mango sticky rice? I mean it just doesn't make sense. Neither is their location near the beach or anything fancy. Also, their service was extremely slow. I would not mind it as I am aware of the labor shortage. But the food was really really disappointing. I am putting out this review so that people don't travel out of the way for this. Similar to what we did.

Yikes. Just tried this place, ordered the Kao Pad Talay "Thai-style fried rice with shrimp, squid, and crab meat" (??? Where is this crab meat? Oh there it is. I think? Is that crab meat? Too small to tell.) Seriously look at the picture, that's all the crab meat I could find. Amongst 2 pieces of shrimp, and 2 small pieces of squid. All mixed into about 2 pounds of rice. I think they put the absolute smallest amount of crab meat they could in order to be able to say it was in there. Why bother? I don't like being deceived on menus. The rice itself was very bland. Everything tasted like it was boiled in plain unsalted water. The squid, the shrimp, the egg. Everything. Completely devoid of any kind of spice or seasoning. I paid $17 for this?? Yikes. 2 stars for fast friendly service. The food needs some serious inspiration. I won't be back.

This used to be my favorite Thai restaurant.. it has increasingly become HORRIBLE. I keep trying to give them another chance but today was the last straw. I had to call and legit let them have it. I can’t even believe they served this bland meal! It’s supposed to be authentic and the last time I was there I noticed a Mexican gentleman in the kitchen cooking. There is nothing authentic about a Mexican cooking Thai food. I can’t believe how bad this is. I can’t even finish. I’m definitely done giving chances and I will NEVER be back.. Moo Yao Thai in Seabright or Muang Thai in Red Bank from here on out. I NEVER write reviews but I couldn’t let this go. I’m disappointed!
