If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I came here years and years ago and it was safe and fun. Now? It's dangerous and overpriced. 87 dollars just to walk through the door for Myself, my mother and my 8 year old daughter, doesn't come with any special perks etc. Just to walk through the door! Then to find out you have to add money to the cards they give you too do literally anything in the building. I spent another 50 to play games with my family, NON and I mean NON of the machines/games gave us tickets. We were suppose to have over 100 tickets and we didn't get a single one. I spent over $10 and the machines / games took the money and didn't work. I couldn't find any staff to help with any of the questions my family and I had. Once being extremely disappointed with the small, broken boring arcade aspect we tried bumper cars, which we had to wait 15 minutes for a staff member to finally open them up for the line of people waiting to use it. To top off the so far only 30 minute experience (we had to pay for 3 hours ) we tried the go karts. There was no information on the speed the man was swiping all the cards for the same selection which said single. I wasn't aware that the carts would go so fast as you start they go at a slower still fun speed, once they went fast my daughter slammed into the rail because her breaks did not work, HER BREAKS DID NOT WORK. I immediately pulled over to check on her and then was rear ended and ended up going to the hospital afterwards and suffered from mild wiplash, my daughter was also hospitalized. The staff was clueless and quiet through everything, it's no wonder they make you sign waivers. I will never return and I genuinely hope the place gets shut down. As a parent I am strongly advising you avoid this place. There are so many other safe fun...
Read moreHORRIBLE experience, this is my second time coming here and I went on the go carts one time with my family, well my husband was driving my 5 year old son in the cart in front of me and these kids were slamming into people left and right. The person working there said “no bumping” yet it continued to happen over and over!!! They slammed into my husband (who had my son) and myself and I stayed behind my husband trying to avoid these kids from hurting my child and they slammed into my cart so hard my eyes went black then they slammed into my again and my cart was close to the edge so it slammed into the edge after that. I was slammed into at least a total of 6 times. I received a concussion from how hard I was continuously hit and my knee is all bruised up and scrapped from this injury. These kids hit me so hard my glasses went flying off my face and I some how managed to find them out of my go cart. When I got out of my go cart (I did NOT finish the race) nothing was done about it, these kids were never reprimanded and no one even cared. I will probably have neck issues forever because of this. I do not recommend ANYONE going on these go carts let alone a young child. Multiple people who were on the go carts all had the same experience with these kids being brutally disrespectful. I came to action city for my 7 year old nephews birthday party and this is what I get. Absolutely horrible. I rate this place in the negative it does not even deserve the one star. I can’t even imagine how this would of effected my 5 year old son if he was the one who was...
Read moreWe went in with the metropolis hotel discount next door. There's a great variety of activities to do here, there's a trampoline park, a sort of obstacle course, a zip line, outdoor and indoor go carts, putt-putt golf, arcade games, mini bowling, a Lazer maze, Lazer tag, rock climbing, and even a VR game. There's also a Dairy Queen and Monkey in the Middle Pizza that does 30 inch pizzas if you're doing a party! We bought daily passes, which include all arcade games that don't give prizes or prize tickets, and all activities except for the Trampoline Park, VR game, and the zip line. (You can add the last two for an additional $10, and you can put money on the pass for the ticket arcade games.) We had a great time and spent about 5-6 hours here and definitely got our money's worth out of our passes. (With the hotel discount and the added zip line and VR it was about $76 for two people.) If you want to bring your driver's license to the indoor carts, you can go to a 'ghost speed' which is the fastest they go. The VR was my favorite, having never done anything with VR before. The only thing I could've asked for it would've been more levels to play on it. There are a lot of party rooms, so you can easily get one if you want to throw a party. The mini bowling was cute, rock climbing was hard (though I'm not particularly great at rock climbing), go carts were great, decently large Lazer tag room, I don't like zip lines, but theirs was great, and their prize selection is humongous!
Action City is the place to go for a party, or...
