ur ushers suck.. i attended the billy currington concert tonight and i asked the usher if i would get in trouble or be told to sit down once he came out bc i’ve had people complain before about me standing during a concert (it’s a concert, i paid to be here.. i’m gunna stand up and have fun) and EVERYONE was sitting during Eli Young Band’s performance which was so sad. she promised i was fine and that i’m more than welcome to stand at my seat.. so i did. not long after she came and told us we had to sit down bc people were complaining and so i said well then move me to the pit and she was like i can’t do that but i do have to ask u to sit so i asked if we could stand at the railing and she said yes that’s fine and i asked her if she was sure we wouldn’t get in trouble and she said yes you’re fine i promise and AGAIN not long after, she came back and claimed her boss said we can’t stand there and we have to sit in our seats bc “it’s the rules” and after going back and forth about it i said i’m not going anywhere unless ur taking me to talk to your “boss” so she took us and we spoke to 5-6 different people before we finally ended up with a guy they referred to as ochoa (i think.. i don’t remember tbh) and he was like who’s tell y’all to sit? of course you can stand… so after talking with him for a bit we finally were able to go back to our seats and we stood of course because i’m literally here celebrating my birthday at a concert that I PAID to attend… and OF COURSE another guy with an ugly grey beard came up and was yelling at us to sit down bc we were blocking the people’s view in the row behind us even after we had just talked to someone that said no one can tell us to sit down and that we’re allowed to stand up as long as we’re in front of our seats.. so we just kept telling him no and that we’re not gunna sit down unless he can show us somewhere that it says it’s the “rules” for us to sit down and he finally just left us alone and we finished the concert. anyway, y’all ruined my experience and ruined my birthday and i will not be coming back to ur venue ever again bc that was bullshit. y’all need to get on the same page and stop harassing people when they’re just trying to enjoy a...
Read moreWe went to go see Gabriel Iglesias, Fluffy, on October 7th to a sold out crowd. It was chaos trying to get in to the parking lot. Only 2 entrances were available that we could see. On entrance on Alberta road trying to accommodate traffic from the frontage road and the ones coming in from Veterans Rd. The 2nd entrance on the north side of the arena on the frontage road which you figured out by luck that it was available since there's no signage to guide you to the entrances. The cops that were there directing traffic were ineffective. Once we parked, again there's no one directing the people to the entrance to the venue. Once people start forming a line, the rest of the people follow suit and continue the line without realizing that there are other entrances available. When you finally make it in and find your seat, you realize that the stage looks kind of small from where we were, way the heck in the back. We knew this so we knew we were going to rely on the big screens to better see the show. Well, big screen was an over statement. The screens were small, too small to contain the full Fluffy experience 😄. The show was great by the way. Then trying to get out was another ordeal. Only a few exits to evacuate thousands of cars. A piece of advice is to get there very early to avoid the traffic mess and leave early or stay very late until the traffic is...
Read moreReally nice arena in the RGV! Here for my niece's graduation from EHS and the seats were quite comfortable, Rose were deep enough that people could travel in front of you without you having to scrunch up like an inchworm. Traffic control was actually really awesome going in. Thought that we would be in a pretty hellacious line to get in like we were at the Alamodome 2 weeks ago for UTSA graduation, but it was super easy and lots of people directing you where to go. They don't allow outside water and then charge you $3 for the same thing you pay $6 for a 24 pack, so they are expecting to rob you blind on the concession side of things and don't even seem to feel bad about it. Seems like concessions rung up the cash register for Bert Ogden, not for EHS, which is a bummer. I can see paying $3 for a $0.75 water if it was at least going back to the school system. Please pay attention when you are leaving to make sure you exit out onto the frontage road as far back / South from Trenton as possible (I think the streets' name is Amelia?) so that you can pop right onto the freeway instead of having to go through the Trenton light, which can add 15 to 20 minutes onto your commute out if you are northbound from the Arena. My advice is to park closest to the exit so that you can get...
