Dear IHOP Management, Worst experience ever. My husband and I went to IHOP on 517 E Trenton Rd, Edinburg, TX 78539. My husband had just got off from work and it being his birthday he wanted to eat at IHOP. So we get their and we get seated their was only one other couple their besides us. The waitlist comes out and ask what we want to eat and drink. She sparks a conversation by stating “by the way I’m a trump supporter I hope that doesn’t change your mind about leaving a tip” my husband and I chose to ignore her comment and just told her we wanted an unsweet tea and an orange juice. She leaves and comes back a few mins later with an orange juice and a sweet tea. She aske if we were ready to order and we were so we gave her our order. When she came back with our order my husband told her she brought me the wrong drink and she if she could please change my drink due to me being a diabetic I can not have any sweet stuff. She said ok and took away and changed it. I cut my burger in 4 and ate one piece and when eating the second piece their was a hair in my food so I pulled the hair out my mouth and waved for her to come to our table. When she got their I told her what had happened and she laughed and stated “yeah ok well I don’t know how there is hair in your food if no on in the back has hair” she then grabbed the plate and left mumbling something under her breath. She then came back and threw the receipt at my husband and told him he needed to take his food to go and that she had taken my food off the receipt but that we had to leave. My husband and I just shook our heads and were speechless and disgusted at the way we were being treated. As we were going over to the counter to pay she stated “yeah this is why I support trump on getting you’re your kind out of my country”. Keep in mind I am Hispanic born and raised in Texas and my husband is an African American born and raised in Brooklyn New York and this lady is Caucasian. For her to say something like this to us is not only disrespectful but also racist. I then turned over to her and said “what did you just say?” she responded with “you heard me”. I then asked to speak with her manager in which she stated “go find him and get him your dam self” I asked her once more and she laughed and said “go fetch him yourself”. I then did get upset and yelled at her “do your job and go and get your manager” two times but she just stood their laughing and giving my husband and me the figure. The manager and staff then came out from the back and to my surprise every one had hair but only one person had a hair net on. While I was peaking with the manager she then went on to tell me she was “going to f* kick my f* fat a* and that she was not afraid of me and my kind” the manager asked her several time to be quiet and to go to the ask she refused so the staff dragged her to the back in which she was still screaming and throwing things. The manager then went on say that this is not the first time this has happened with her and that she does cause a lot of problems. The manager then apologized for her actions we also apologized to him and to the rest of the staff for the incident. Read moreWorst experience at our regular iHop location. We get there for dinner, obviously to take advantage of the ‘kids eat free’ from 3PM-9PM. We ordered 3 adult meals which automatically made the 3 kids meals free.
5 out of 6 meals were out at the same time. 10-15min went by and the last kids meal was not out. The waiter had forgot to put in his order. She puts it in, and we wait to eat until the last kids meal is out. They bring it out and incomplete. (We ordered the jr cupcake meal)
Already frustrated of how long it took just to get water, and amongst other things with us just having bad service from the beginning. We speak to the manager Aracely and Joe. I explain everything that was wrong and frustrating service we received. She said she was going to give us a discount for the trouble we had. Great! I get the receipt and see she gave us a “discount” on 3 kids meal. Mind you, that was already a given discount because we purchased 3 adult meals. Her only offer to make things “right” was to “leave the meals and we won’t charge you.”
We ended up paying $15 and some change just for 2 coffees and kids drinks. Even tho the kids ate free, the drinks for some reason were not included. The posture and attitude from those names above was very unprofessional.
Joe called me a scammer trying to get food for free. The only thing I was trying to get resolved was some sort of appeasement for the terrible and unprofessional service. He also tried so “square up” with my husband who was only trying to talk to the manager himself because he speaks and understands Spanish. Joe took that as a sign of aggression and told my husband to “step outside!” The way this man handled the situation was horrid! From him getting hostile with me calling me a scammer then saying, “well now you’re taking it personal!” was just uncalled for and unprofessional.

Read moreI came for a simple meal and even that got ruined. I would be more understanding if the place was packed but other than myself there were only 4 other individuals. Scrambled eggs, bacon , hash browns, toast and crepes that came with the plate. 34 minutes later COLD FOOD, no toast and dirty glassware. I called the waitress over and showed her how cold my egg/ food was by physically holding the food to show her there was no steam at all . The entire meal was cold, the edges of the hash browns literally felt as if they had been pulled out of the freezer and just tossed on the plate. The waitress personally touch my food with her bare hands to which she did admit that after 34 mnts of waiting I got COLD EVERYTHING. She leaves , comes back later with only hot eggs while she left the plate with the rest of my meal that she touched with her bare hands on my table. 15 mnts later I have to remind her about the toast she originally forgot and now I have to wait for the toast while the eggs get cold AGAIN. I can see why IHOP hires the type of individuals that don't strive for much in life cuz evidently tossing a few eggs on the grill is to overwhelming for them Did I forget to mention i called the waitress over to remove the cold food she originally left on the table and when I got up to pay the bread I ate ( it wasn't even TOASTED) straight out the bread bag, I noticed she charged the COLD FOOD SHE TOUCHED WITH HER BARE HANDS THAT I RETURNED . As for the dirty glassware, ya, that also didn't get corrected. The night manager didn't even question why I denied the food or why I was asking for it to be removed off my ticket.
