I used to like racing virtually by using campus grounds (I study at Stony Brook at the time I'm writing this). However, over time, the scenery got too boring. Also, campus grounds became much less safe with homeless and drug dealers gradually becoming widespread in ways I can never understand, albeit I still compete virtually for maybe only one event using the safest campus ground pavements. To compete virtually in several race events held in-person in Detroit, Ann Arbor, and other Detroit Metropolitan Area cities (where I compete at least 1 day before the in-person participants compete), I chose Papaianni Park. Papaianni Park is very close to the Edison NJ Transit Station, so no need to request for an Uber or anything along that line if traveling to/from the station. You can walk (or maybe jog if possible) between the park and the station as the distance is merely a bit over a half mile. The park itself is very tranquil in terms of avoiding heavy car and pedestrian traffic. You can get the most out of the park even just by walking around Lake Papaianni (counterclockwise direction strongly recommended) using the black pavement trail. A lap around takes approximately 0.56 miles. While this is plausibly merely a short distance, the lake itself and the two fountains make for a great scenery. If you're someone who's looking for a nice, scenic, and quiet park, and are not interested in driving to/from it but instead want to take a train, Papaianni Park is for you. A caveat worth noting is that the park borders very active railroad tracks. The trains that bypass the north side of the park may become...

Quite a charm, this one! Edison is a township that offers innumerable parks and recreational areas, and Lake Papaianni and the park built around it represent what Edison truly stands for. With the township’s municipal office neighboring this park, I’m least puzzled on how truly well-kept this is! The ducks and geese are a welcome sight, with their quacks and honks make you feel truly at comforts. Do get your workout wear on, for the track that runs along the lake is one good walk/run path. Also, the Christmas and New Year season lightens this park up with a pleasant and homely carnival that is worth at least a...

Was there for the Buddyball event. When the police baseball team VS the buddyball volunteers, with selected children, play a game as there is BBQ and air castle bouncy and a station setup with police, to have updated information for the residents and parents, also a beautiful horse was there with a handsome policeman. Giving the children a wonderful chance to pet and talk with the horse and policeman. Mayor Joshi was there enjoying the event and chatting with all of us there. It was a very nice, friendly atmosphere. All around, wonderful time. I was very glad to enjoy this event. Thank you,...

We went there on 4th July for labor day fire works. There were many tuck shops for eatables, joy rides for kids, some fun games, live music and last but not least the fire work which was really awesome! loved the over all lake side. There was a heavy foot fall on that very day. It is good to carry your mats/chairs to sit and relax if you plan to stay for a longer duration. It is comforting to watch the fire works while relaxing on your own pair of chairs/ mats with loved ones at night.

This place is so beautiful and serene. Went there for s stroll with my husband and kids. The walk was very nice and peaceful. There were also picnic tables by the pond where u can sit and enjoy and nice quiet meal. My kids loved sitting by the water and admiring the fountain and the ducks swimming in it. It was a perfect place to get some quiet time with family
