Worst experience Ever!!
We ordered a custom birthday cake at this Edison location in-person , 2 days prior to my kids milestone birthday. We went in on a weekday and there were no one else at the shop that time. We were clueless on the selection - cream, design, toppings, etc. However, the sales person was rude and was zero helpful to help us choose the combinations. We booked a custom chocolate cake in less than 5 minutes and was hoping atleast the cake tastes good.
We went to pick the cake on the birthday. We gave our receipt and sales people kept looking for the order everywhere going back and forth (into the kitchen and office area). We waited for around 15 minutes (there were 4-5 ppl in the shop but none was at the front desk to avoid dealing with the scenario). We understood the confusion and were trying to come to terms with what was happening. Most annoying part was : a young lady broke the silence. Instead of apologizing/explaining the situation, she dared to ask if someone else picked up the order after 10-15 wait time?! I was completely shocked with the attitude. I was running late and with guests arriving soon, i asked for my refund options. And again, another salesperson went in saying she will check with their office?! The way they handled this situation looked like, it’s possibly a repetitive scenario here. She came back and said they will refund the money and offered to get 2 small cakes at free of cost. Since, we were running late and my kid back home was waiting for his specific cake with Oreo toppings, we picked 1 small oreo cake at the display. If I had time, i would have definitely walked away due to their unapologetic attitude. Long story short, we waited over 20 minutes and left disappointed. The readymade cake was very bad and toddler was highly disappointed.
Posting the review here so people are calling them to confirm twice/thrice before their big events. Also be prepared for extremely poor customer service.
To the owners: Please train your staff member to be courteous and own up to your mistakes. Not everyone is behind your refund /free strategies. We order cakes to celebrate our big days, don’t turn them into...

Background: arrived to Edison location a half hour before closing on May 3, 2022 to order a cake for my daughter’s 1st Holy Communion on Saturday, May 7, 2022. The sales staff (3 ladies) was hustling and bustling trying to take care of the last customers for the day. I was third in line; and when worker Jenna became available I informed her I would like to order a cake. Her face immediately changed - I could see the disappointment and annoyance on her face that she had to take a custom cake order. She then proceeded to ask if I saw the decor book - I said no I would like to see it. Upon giving me the book she then said we only have one register so I will have to take your order after everyone in line. By this time four additional people who came in after me were behind me. I reviewed the decor book and waited patiently for her to take my custom cake order and an additional order for some of the pastry items still available. I could see her eyeing me and talking about me to the other workers which made me very uncomfortable. Finally she came over to me after about 10 minutes of me waiting to say she will not be able to take my cake order because they are operating on one register. I told her beyond my cake order I was there to place an order for additional Pastries - she then said nonchalantly “oh sorry I didn’t know”. It made me feel as though she didn’t care about my business and I was a bother. Therefore, I chose not to order the additional pastries and instead placed an order over the phone for the custom cake.
Your sales team (specifically Jenna) needs gain better customer service skills - making a customer feel less than or like a bother is not a good feeling and even if your team delivers tasty items if customer service falls off you will lose some of your very faithful customers of which I am one.

Read moreThe worst bakery experience ever. I went there two weeks before I needed the cake. We placed the order at the Edison location (everything is made at the Edison location, but we picked Woodbridge pick up). The girl helping us was undertrained and had to go ask the manager how to do everything instead of the manager coming and teaching her how to do things. It took 40 minutes to place the order for such a simple cake even though I had given a picture of how I wanted it. I got it written that I wanted the dress to not be poofy and flow naturally as Belle's dress is not poofy. In addition, I wanted the dress to remain on Belle so the top would not have been creme. The girl finalized the order and with the order number, I emailed them again clarifying how I wanted the cake. They reassured me that they have made many Barbie cakes and it would be fine. When we went to pick up the cake, it was absolutely terrible. Not only was it poofy, it was also lopsided. The dress was not even or straight. The buttercream was messy and incomplete from parts of the dress on the bottom. I picked it up from the Woodbridge location close to the event time. I asked them if they could at least finish off the remaining details that were missed in the visable spots at the least. They informed me that they had no buttercream at all and they couldn't do anything to make the cake any better. I was beyond disappointed, lack of professionalism and lack of ability to make a cake.
Update: the manager called and spoke to me and apologized for the experience. She was empathetic and stated that they are trying to get to the reasoning as to why the cake was not made properly. She refunded the whole amount of the cake. However, I will leave this review up so people know what to expect...
