Northgate González Market — Attraction in El Monte

Originally, we lived in La Habra, and now we live in the central valley. So, when we're in the area, we make it a point to visit Northgate Market, and see what we can find. As always, your stores are clean, stocked, and pleasant to visit. Today, my wife was looking for items for her Dia de los Muertos display which we set up each year as a tradition. We picked up some "orejitas" and pan mexicano from the bakery; some of your Jarritos brand sodas with the 5% alcohol; some sugar skulls, and some vasos de barro with a decorative rim. However, since we are traveling thru, on our way out tomorrow, we will stop at your store in La Habra and get some meats and whatever else the wife wants. I enjoy browsing thru the aisles and see what different products Northgate Market sells from other parts of the world. I'm a kid in a candy store when I come here. So, if you're driving thru and want to pick up some new, and or authentic pan mexicano, carnes, vegetables or whatever, give Northgate a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. ...

We walked in to the North Gate Gonzalez Market after attending a Memorial Service at St Anthony's Church on Friday, Nov.16,2018. We stopped to pickup sweet bread. The woman that was passing out free samples just as entered the front doors was not very polite. She didn't offer us a sample. After walking up to see what she was passing out, a woman walked up behind us and started talking to the employee like we were not standing there. I thought that was rude...was it because we asked her something in English?? She answered the lady behind us that spoke spanish??!! LET ME REMIND HER THAT SHE'S IN USA And not in Mexico. My recommendation is to hire people that want...

I went to the hot food kitchen area to buy a rotisserie chicken and some potato wedges,I was tended too by an employee named Daisy let me just say she was very angry the whole time , asking "What do you want" giving me attitude and dirty looks the whole time ,does Northgate management not care about their costumers ? Why do they allow such angry employees with that kind of attitude to work their kitchen area and on top of that,when I got home there was a big long hair inside my wedges and I know it was hers because she kept scratching her head while managing the food , terrible experience overall,very bad service (and...
