This makes the third time I've had to resubmit my review per ihg legal reasons. More over because they don't like what was written. I haven't submitted a single word of untruth. Rest assured it will be submitted to the web.
It would be unreasonable to expect better than usual service at this hotel. We realize its level of comfort However we do desire a certain level of decorum from employees. Upon check-in I had to request two keys. I explained to the clerk that my husband and I both needed one. Hey not the end of the world. I think if she were listening then I wouldn't have needed to request the second key again. We get to our room and begin cleaning and unpacking. My husband noticed a weird bugs in the room. We called front desk and the clerk arrived about ten minutes later. She didn't believe they were bed bugs. She stated she believed they were local bugs coming out for fall. She indicated as well they were probably from the previous guest. We were offered a discount to stay or a new room. We chose a new room, we didn't want to risk taking anything home. She brought us a cart and we left 312 and went to 221. The room was OK and gave us a view of Juarez and the mountains. However we also were exposed to the noise of a busy I-10. I'm sure IHG has money to to put noise reduction windows in, because it felt like we were on I-10 at times it was so noisy. We noticed that most of this location needs a makeover. Aesthetics are part of what guest pay for. We noticed poor wallpaper, stained carpet (appeared greasy in spots). At the entrance to the room were loose tiles. Again you guys aren't 5 star but that's a safety hazard. No we didn't tell staff because your clerk walked right in to 221 with us and made sure no bugs were found. The loose tiles were obvious every time we entered or exited. We stayed 3 days without having our room serviced. Initially we thought maybe it was due to staffing. However my husband quickly pointed out that two women were cleaning the entire second floor. He actually had to ask housekeeping after he noticed we got skipped a third time. The second night he didn't want to complain and asked the front desk clerk for towels. All she said was sorry sir they should have cleaned it and gave him the towels. Of course as mentioned it still wasn't cleaned until he addressed the housekeeping staff. Our third night was intriguing. We don't know if it was party central or what. Our neighbor in 219 was rocking out for over an hour. My husband called the front desk for ten minutes and they didn't answer, until he called on his cell. He began explaining the problem and was curtly cut off by the clerk who said you're in 221, I'll be up shortly and hung up. My husband went to hallway and waited but she never came. About twenty minutes later she must have called because the music went down some. About 45 minutes later we could hear the neighbor leaving. I believe day four we were readying to go out. I forgot something and my husband went ahead to warm our vehicle. As he sat there a housekeeper came by with a luggage cart. The very same ones that we put our luggage on. She had trash piled two feet high. My husband witnessed the wind blow a bag off. He said when she picked it up there was trash juice coming from the bag. She just put it back as it dripped all over the cart. We are sure it wasn't sanitized afterwards. Needless to say my husband carried our luggage out upon checkout. This was our experience during our stay. The comments about the hotel needing a makeover is obviously our opinion. The rest of the incidents we believe...
