This is the type of resturant that is pretty universal from location to location and the time of day I chose wasn't busy. I knew I had a large party (10) so I called ahead and was told it would be about a thirty minute wait. I specifically asked the attendent "If I get there in twenty minutes, I will most likely wait about ten minutes to be seated, right?" He confirmed my question was correct. I get to the reaturant, and was told there would be a forty-five minutw wait. We went to the bar and ordered a few drinks. We waited fifty-six more minutes and watched two other parties get seated. Each party had one less person than mine and had arrived after my party. Finally, we were seated. Our server did not refill the drinks (fountain drinks) that we ordered at the bar, he just went ahead and charged us for new ones. The table next to us had a baby as did we. Instead of putting the high chairs on differnt sides, the waiter put both seats too close together and blocked the other party from leaving thwir seats and blocked some of my party from leaving their seats. We remained polite. We ordered blooming onions to start, which were a little undercooked but still okay. We ordered our meal an hour and a half after we got to thw resturant. After forty-five minutes, our server explained the mashed potatoes were not ready and that is the reason our food was taking so long to be served. All of our drinks were empty and refills were slow coming. Another twent-five minutes pass and our food is finally served. Our steaks and seafood were cold on the inside. We still did NOT complain and tried to stomach the cold food. The mashed potatoes that we had waited over an hour for were also cold. At this point I asked for a refill but the server got a strange attitude. We were literally the largest table there, we had been there for about three hours, did not complain or imply any dislikes, we had one server and still got put on the back burner. I had enough. I asked for boxes. I wanted to take the food home and heat it up so I could enjoy my meal. The server was quick with the boxes but took another twenty minutes to bring the checks. I gave my payment method and waited eighteen minutes to get my card and reciept back. I asked to speak with the manager who knew I had already been at thw resturant for about four hours. She took 10% off my bill but not any of the other bills in my party. She gave us three business cards with her name and hand written note of $10 off our next meal. Not sure why she thought we would ever be going back to that location. 10 people, 4 hours, cold food, double charges for fountain drinks, half ass service, cramped space, little to no aknowledgment makes the worst reaturant experience in a lifetime. They turned a celebratory dinner into a sequence of frustration and anger. I can only hope the people in charge consider restructuring. Management and wait staff have to go. I tipped the 10% that she took off my bill and was met with a "snappy" underbreath comment. You want a better tip, provide...
Read moreOutback Steakhouse Review Multiple Visits Over Several Months: This review is based on multiple visits approximately five to seven separate occasions to the same Outback Steakhouse location over the course of several months. My experiences were not limited to a single evening, which is important to note because I made a conscious effort to give this location multiple opportunities to deliver a better experience.
Many of my visits were tied to business meetings with out-of-town clients who specifically requested Outback Steakhouse due to their familiarity and fondness for the brand. Unfortunately, despite the appealing atmosphere and cordial management, the steak the very item that should be the star of the menu has consistently been the weakest part of my experience.
Over the course of my visits, I have tried a variety of steaks from the menu, including: Victoria’s Filet Mignon, Melbourne Porterhouse, Bone-In Ribeye & Ribeye Steak. On every occasion, the steaks lacked flavor and freshness. They did not taste like well-prepared, quality cuts of beef, rather, they had a taste reminiscent of meat that had been stored for too long in a refrigerator, then reheated, with seasoning applied in an attempt to mask the off-putting flavor. This is not a matter of preference for aged steak I enjoy a properly aged cut but instead a consistent impression that the meat was simply not fresh.
On two separate visits once with the Porterhouse and once with the Filet Mignon I sent my meal back immediately after the first bite. In both cases, the flavor was unpleasant enough that I did not want to take another chance, even when the manager kindly offered to cook a fresh steak or replace it with another menu item. On one of these occasions, my server appeared surprised and insisted the steak looked “excellent,” expressing disbelief rather than understanding, which was disappointing in terms of customer service.
I do want to acknowledge the positives: the bread and salad are consistently fresh and enjoyable, and the management team has always been courteous and willing to address concerns. However, these positives were not enough to offset the repeated shortcomings in steak quality, which is why I have ultimately decided to stop returning to this location.
As a long-time fan of the original Outback Steakhouse concept founded in Tampa, Florida (not Australia, despite the branding) I truly wish this location could reflect the quality and consistency the brand was once known for. Sadly, based on my repeated experiences, I cannot recommend this particular location for anyone seeking a quality...
Read moreI had forgotten why I had not come back to this place in some 12 years. First off, the place was so cold inside, that some man had some towel draped over his head. The service overall was extremely slow, although our glasses of water seemed to come quick. The margarita flight we ordered arrived 10 minutes later and so the ice was partially melted, but they did have a good refreshing taste (hence, the one star). When we got our steaks and sides (about a 40 minute wait), the entire plate was cold. The only thing nice and warm were the grilled onions and sautéed mushrooms. We sent the plates back with the manager to be reheated. Our waiter stopped by to apologize and said they were making some new steaks and sides for us, instead. Once we got our steaks back (another 15 minute wait), they had a crust on top, like toasted bread. Yup, they were the same steaks. I guess they were reheated on the griddle and sure enough they were over cooked. We decided to eat the plate as we were already too hungry and too frustrated at the situation. When we first arrived we noticed a man walking around sort of irate looking for something, the hostess approached him and he told her he was looking for ketchup and some other thing, that i couldn’t hear. She was able to help him out. On another table there was a family of 5 sitting there with their drinks and waiting for their food. After a long while we noticed the father also irate, call the waiter (same waiter as us). A few minutes later the waiter shows up with their food in take out boxes and the family gets up and leaves angrily. And finally, we waited for our check too long that we had to get off our table to get some sort of recognition. The hostess decided to take the payment. The manager never came back or anything. The waiter did come back to apologize and return my credit card. Please stay away from this place, unless you’re gonna try those margaritas. Try Texas Roadhouse that’s down the road. You can’t go...
