I only just noticed that my original review from last year never posted to Google, so here's the second try:
We stayed here back in September for one night on our way home. We arrived early evening, and checked out around 9:00am. While I was packing up the last of our things, and straightening the beds, I noticed a small black bug on the sheets. I grabbed a cup and caught it. Sure enough - it was a bed bug.
I took it straight over to the front desk to show them. There was a woman sitting at the computer (she was the owner/manager), and a group of about 5 housekeepers standing around chatting. All were in a good mood. I handed the cup to the owner and calmly said, "This was in my bed this morning." All the ladies gathered around to look at it. I heard on of them say in Spanish, "What is it?" And I said, "It's a bed bug." The owner didn't look at me, didn't say a word. She just proceeded to do things on her computer and ignore me while all the ladies looked shocked. I waited a few minutes and then said that I expected a full refund on the stay. She still didn't look at me, and I assumed she was refunding the stay. After about 5 more minutes, she printed something out, and said it was refunded. I clarified that my ENTIRE charge was reversed - she said it was. Let me be clear. It is these moments that define whether or not you are a good business person. She never apologized to me, and her attitude was as though I was an annoyance, and put her out by showing her that she had bed bugs. It was one of the HOUSEKEEPERS that looked at me and genuinely said, "Sorry." All the ladies standing around were as uncomfortable as I was with the way the owner responded.
I will NEVER return here, and I caution anyone thinking about staying here. I had several bites all over my body, and had to take severe measures once we got home to make sure we hadn't picked up any bed bugs and brought them home. If you have ever had to do that, you know what an enormous headache it is.
To be clear, I would have actually given more stars had the owner treated this incident with the sincerity and respect...

Upon checking in one of our two beds was made up dirty. There were hairs and crumbs within the sheets. The front desk agent came in to check, stripped everything down and returned with all new linens. It made me question if the second bed had the same issue. Although she was very nice, no apology was made. ||Breakfast was okay, very carb heavy and not well maintained. Some days the milk was out, waffle mix empty or breakfast sandwiches were gone. Nobody checks this area or tidied up during breakfast hours and often times the front desk agent was gone. There were barefoot guests so no hygiene protocols are enforced. ||We had downtime so we went to use the gym. The Echelon bike was a joke. There’s zero tension and the seat points downward so you actually slide off while trying to ride. There’s no direction on how to connect your own device for any visual workout nor is there a way to attach own device to the very small panel that falls backwards. The gym needs some cleaning and TLC. ||The television remote does not match the television as it’s one that can be wiped down easier. This unfortunately takes away from a smart tv functionality. There’s no way to watch any streaming television and the channels offered are extremely limited. The channel guide appears as you scroll through which are the only options for television and no printed channel listings are placed within the room. ||It would seem that for the money owners put into making the interior of the rooms nicer, that more attention should be given to all of the amenities being offered. ||Overall the motel served its purpose as a place to sleep but if returning to El Paso, this would not be a recommended...
