Rocky Top Vapor 3 Elizabethton — Attraction in Elizabethton

This is the worst shop I've ever been too. When I first started the transition, I went here, not knowing anything, and that was a huge mistake. First I was sold a knock off, at the time I didn't know this so I was excited as I was told all these great things about it. First trip in was several hundred dollars just to go back 2 days later because the device stopped working, and the tank was leaking. Being new to the scene I fell for they, "this is your fault" speech, so I left the Elizabethton shop confused as to how I managed in less that 48 hours to mess something up as bad as they said I did. Also with about 50 bucks worth of stuff they said I needed, but didnt. I went home and sat the mod down and left it for about a week, as I was told by the staff. Once I started using it again, same thing happened so I go back. Same girl, purple hair, tells me I've burnt the coil up.. again my fault, and I believe her, bc she's the professional not me. This goes on for several weeks, making a stop in every two to three days, being told the same thing, it's my fault. While in there I would try new flavors, each time it was like I was asking them for a kidney, it's was such a problem to help. They would sit at the vape bar, "what next" , "here" "what now" knowing I had no clue what these things were. I told them I was used to smoking 3,4,5 packs a day, or Marlboro light 72's, but didn't like the normal tobacco flavors they had and asked for a sweeter vape... Two tries later they had me a pen, I take a big draw and about puked everywhere, it was their artic wolf... keep in mind I just told them what I'm used too, for over 15 years. I leave, because everything was nasty and it was obvious I was a bother to them. I quickly notice if I wasn't one of their friends that were always there I wasn't getting any real help. About 2 weeks later I went to the JC location, explained the issue and what had been done so far... it was at that moment I about lost my cool. I was told by the guy helping me that I was sold a " broken p o.s" as he proceeds to tell the guy next to him that the girl who sold it to me is a joke and does this a lot. He then goes back to his manager to tell her, comes out and says we can give you 10% off but that's it. I laughed and replied, after you just said I was screwed over by your staff that's all you can do, you can't fix this? He answered no, that his manager said I had the device to long and even though I was ripped off it was MY fault for keeping it.. Like I really had a choice. I left that location and went directly to the Elizabethton location. The girl who was a "joke" just so happens to be there and I confront her with what they said. Her faced turned red and she started to cry, got up and went outside to call the owner. She comes back in and tells me she is the manager there and is pissed bc they trashed talked her to me in front of everyone. The next 20 mins is her bashing the JC location, how they are jealous of her, & they are the jokes. Never does she say anything about ripping me off. She does finally say she sorry it happened, I must have got a "bad one" &replaces the tank only, at the owners approval. Does nothing with the knock off mod, but the Delta 2 tank was replaced. About an hour later I finally leave, after her rant. Get home excited that everything is fixed. 2 days later same issue, stops working, tank leaking, and I've touched nothing. Didn't add juice, change the coil nothing, bc I knew they would blame me again. Took it back in, same thing. You're using it wrong, you have to be.. when I tell her I did nothing other than push the firing button she says "then I don't know, there's nothing else I can do." I leave there, get home, put the broken knock off mod on a shelf, where it sat for months. I go back to smoking full time for almost a year bc they put such a bad taste in my mouth. About a month ago I tried again, & absolutely love the new shop. Laughing Kat Vapor is absolutely amazing. Consider yourself warned do NOT trust RTV, go to Kat, her& her staff...

I remember when RTV first started. They had high quality fluids, and great prices. When their name got known, they decided to cut the quality and go to cheap fluids and keep a higher price tag. Most of these cheap fluids cause a person to go through coils quickly. I remember going weeks on a coil, now? 2 days maybe 3 if I am REALLY lucky, but that is another story for another time.

Anyone who reads this should consider ordering online as I am about to from now on. RTV used to carry fluids such as "the golden ticket" which is one of if not THE best chocolate tasting fluid made. One day, it went away and when asked to order more, the reply we got was "we can't get it anymore". Ok, so that fluid is gone off the market. (I will get back to that in a minute)

My wife found an extremely good chocolate flavored fluid and asked them to order it because she guaranteed them it would sell, and she herself would rather give them her money than drive to another town to buy what she loves. I just went in this morning to get her some fluid. The girl at the counter was nice enough and asked what she could help me with. I asked the girl what they have in the line of chocolate. She said "all we have are these small bottles of chocolate mocha" (my wife has tried it and it left a really bad harsh flavor in the back of her mouth) I mentioned my wife asking them to order the chocolate fluid to which I received a reply of "just because someone requests a flavor doesn't mean they will order it". (a wonderful business building attitude there)

Recently, my wife found a small store in Piney Flats that she stopped in to get fluid because she was out. On their shelf was... The golden ticket. The fluid that RTV said they could not get anymore. Well, after being lied to about golden ticket not being available anymore, (as well as many other flavors I am sure) and realizing that they obviously would rather lose customers than tell them the truth or order what they have been asked for and help their business, I do believe I will be ordering online from now on. Why don't they care about what their customers want?

"Just because they are selling juice, doesn't mean everyone will buy it especially if it's NOT what they want and RTV refuses to order what they DO want."

UPDATE: Having read the reply, I felt I needed to post an addendum to this review as some information given in the reply may or may not be completely accurate. I did an online search for Golden Ticket vapor fluid, and found it was introduced on April 30 2016. I then checked for expiration date info as I can NOT find any date on the bottles or boxes they come in for this product. Not a "born on" date, not a "manufactured on date", not a "best if used by" date, and certainly NOT any kind of "expires on date" anywhere on the labels or boxes anywhere.

I then did a search of "Vapor fluid expiration dates. What returned was as follows: "Most e-liquids have a shelf-life of around 2 years from the manufacturing date. This does vary slightly depending on the formulation used, though. For example, nic salt e-liquids degrade slower than freebase nicotine e-liquids. Plus, fruity flavors degrade quicker than more complex flavors, like desserts." As such, the reply stating "We had to stop carrying that flavor back in 2016 due to it not selling, and eventually having to damage out the remaining stock from it being past its expiration date." does not ring very true especially considering my wife bought the last marked down bottle that was in the store. (she was told later when inquiring about getting it in store again that they could not get it anymore) If you go with the 2 year shelf life information or even one year shelf life from internet information from many MANY manufacturers, the 2016 date should be 2017 or even 2018, NOT 2016 as stated. I love Rocky Top Vapor I have been going there since 2014/2015 and I love their selection of vapes and Mods and Tanks. I can't even begin to count the New Mods and Tanks that I have bought from there, havnt been but a few that has torn up on me. Workers are very knowledgeable about their products they answer all your question and see to guide you in the right direction. I myself have COPD and had to quiet smoking cigarettes in 2014 because of pneumonia staying in and out if the hospital and every since I have been smoking the E-Cigs I havnt been back in the hospital in 9 years. So with all that been said I love Rocky Top Vapor and I would %100 recommend them if you need to stop smoking cause it really does help and work.....
