My husband was craving Subway and I wanted something else..instead of arguing over food I just decided to get Subway because it's a pretty good choice for lunch or dinner.. Anyway, on this visit it was late afternoonish, probably around 3pm.. And of course when I went inside to order there was a line.. 3 people infront of me...And to me it seemed like the guy who was ordering his food decided to take his time and put literally everything and anything on his and his wife's sub!! Then the lady after him had apparently ordered ahead because it was a decent size order...thankfully that went quickly..So down to the last man who also seemed like he took forever to get his and his wife's subs exactly the way they wanted... Ok, so finally it's my turn to order mine and my husband's subs... My husband had wanted a meatball sandwich sub with a few things on it... nothing too complicated....I still was trying to decide what I wanted....I choose the chicken sub...pretty basic...got the mixed cheese and asked to have it toasted as did my husband...anyway I wanted bacon too and Ranch dressing and some parmesan sprinkled on it.. I ended up making mine a meal, so my husband and I could get some chips and a fountain drink...We usually do that.. I decided to pay using our debit card and I went to pay and the young lady told me that they had a new thing to tap... I looked down and it had a thing asking me how much I wanted to tip the cashier... Seriously?? Why exactly do cashiers and people who make sub sandwiches deserve tips?? They want a tip for doing their job?? Yeah I pushed $0 for the tip. I refuse to tip anyone!! Because tips are NOT mandatory!! And this whole tipping thing is out of control!! Why exactly is there a tip option at Subway in Elizabethton, Tennessee?? Do explain this to me!! Listen the young lady who was working that afternoon was very polite and friendly but tipping someone for doing their job is ridiculous!! Other than that it was a good visit to Subway...So anyone and everyone beware and make sure that you know what you are spending your money on!! Read moreCame in at 8pm guy behind counter did not speak, he stood behind the counter making something we stood here for atleast 15 mins and the guy did not say a single word. Had to sit down, customer came in behind us she is also sitting here. The kids Name is (Elijah ). After about 15 mins of sitting and him still not acknowledging anyone that walking into the store my gf went up to him and asked him if he was ready, he looked at her and said "huh". He took the orders and went very skimpy on toppings etc had to ask for more of each topping because he didnt wanf to make the sandwiches we also had to tell him to toast them because he sure didnt ask. The kid only said two words the entire visit "huh" and what else" the toppings were all old and brital you could tell he hadnt cha ged them out at all, all day long. hopefully something is done about this, as I've filed a formal complaint with corporate, tried calling the store today to talk to a manager but the phone was picked up and then hung up.
It should not take me almost an hour to get a sandwich when no one is in the store.
You have to have a personality to work at subway I'm almost certain this...
Read moreMy husband, 5 year old daughter and i Visited the Elizabethton (beside gamestop) location a few days ago and the lady that was working that evening was VERY rude, she was cussing the whole time, wiping her nose on her arm while making orders, not wearing a mask, and didn't even change gloves after handling a door dash ladies phone. She completely ruined my husband's sub, he asked for a little extra ranch and she put half the bottle on it, even after we asked her to stop, she said "with me you get what you ask for." Our daughter was getting a drink out of our large drink cup and she told my husband that if she spilt the drink he would have to clean it up. I've tried several times to call the store to talk to a manager but I never get an answer, ive posted on the @subwaylistens Twitter page, no response and even went to to customer service website and done a survey about our experience but noone has gotten back to me, so I'm left with putting it out in the open on Google for everyone to see. So if you're reading this and you go to this location and an older lady named Shirley is working, go somewhere...
