Pizza Inn — Restaurant in Elizabethton

Consistently a great selection, amazing service, and delicious food! & They are always full of surprises. Most recently my experience was turned up a notch more when my server realized it was my son’s 12th birthday, she made sure to treat him special & actually gathered some staff to sing for him! We were both surprised & of course delighted! Another time this location went above and beyond was earlier this year~we came in about an hour before they were supposed to close. However, this particular night it was slow business due to “somewhat of a holiday” (to keep them safe from people using this against them I’ll keep the actual day out of my review)- anyhow, I was definitely disappointed and I believe the manager could sense it immediately and made it right by baking a fresh pizza for me and my son to go & didn’t even charge us. They definitely care about their customers & their satisfaction! I will continue to drive 45 minutes to get here anytime I am in the mood for delicious pizza! Although the food was decent, the best thing about the whole restaurant was the family bathroom for my father in the wheelchair. Last time before we came in was an extremely wonderful experience just because of the waitress we asked for the discount card and they said they were out next time I came in to ask for one. we came back food was OK waitress was less than OK no personality whatsoever. You might as well. Have bought the dishwasher out there. I paid my bill $45. Crazy for a couple slices of pepperoni pizza and I asked for my card and they said they have them I said, would you please punch it three times for the last time I was in. Lady laughed at me, said you’ll make it up quick enough headed me the punch out card with only three punches in it and walked away. That’s NOTVwhat you call. Customer appreciation. No that’s what you call drive away the people. We will not be back, ever. to be laughed at for asking something that they promised me it’s not acceptable behavior. Im back in the area after a 30 year absence. I have enjoyed dining in at this establishment several times as well as using the drive thru. The food is good and is reasonably priced. My issue is with poor customer service when calling in an order. I had asked the gentleman if he could recommend a sandwich for me to try as I wasn't in the mood for pizza, pasta, or dining in that day. His response? Subway.

I'm guessing it was his age and immaturity that let his tongue roll before he spit out his response. No matter how good the food or prices are, a persons first impression can come from something as simple as phoning in an order. I placed the order and picked it up. As usual,the food was very good. Will I be back? No. There are many places to eat in both Elizabethton and the Tri-Cities in general. I can spend my money elsewhere and not be insulted.

I spent my entire working life in giving good customer service. This didn't cut it, no matter how good the food is.
