Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail — Attraction in Ellensburg

First off, don't knock it 'till you try it!

When I first went here, I hated it. In the beginning, it's almost all gravel and the scenery was lacking (it's residential for bit). I walked exactly 0.2 miles before turning back and going elsewhere. If you keep going about a half mile, you will not be disappointed with the view! Rolling hills, beautiful farmland... My pup and I love early morning walks here.

My only complaint is that the gnats are terrible. I advise bug spray. Also there are NO restrooms. It was expected, but still. Pee BEFORE you embark on...

There are several ways to get to this area, though the official one is off of 8th and Alder, across from the Rodeo Headquarters. There's not really a parking lot, though there are a few places to park.
