I visited this place on the 3-week anniversary of its opening, and I have a few comments and suggestions. The atmosphere was really welcoming and very friendly. The artist, Priscilla, seemed energetic and put us at ease. At this location, the instructor actually refills your paint for you when you need it but does not walk around and offer suggestions unless you flag her down, sadly. This type of excursion is an annual one with my best friend, and we have tried several different places like this, so we know what to expect now. I would have appreciated some criticism from the instructor as we completed the entire painting, and she never mentioned that we were missing a key feature in the middle of our painting that we never noticed. I never got any feedback from the instructor so I don't know if I did pretty well or terrible. (I love my art regardless! 😄) It was nice that they had the paint already mixed and set up at the table for us when we arrived with our names written in chalk in front of the easel. That was a nice touch. However, they failed to tell us that you cannot BYOB to this place, so we walked in unsuspectingly with a bottle of wine only to find out that you can only buy drinks from the bar. I understand this is a city law and not up to the discretion of this business, but I do feel they need to make that clear on the website so you aren't walking in thinking it's like other places. I appreciated the aprons, but I would have appreciated a smock as well (or instead of an apron, since my sleeves always get messy). The room was well lit and had lots of windows so the passersby can look in and see what's going on with the class. Overall, I was able to hear the instructor well because they used a headset which I liked, but the music was terribly loud during the times the instructor was not directly speaking and, even when she was, the pop music was still easily audible in the background. Would I return to this location? Probably not, due to the fact that there are other businesses that allow you to BYOB. Is it a good place for groups? Yeah, as long as you know what you're getting. Read more⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A couple of months ago, I found myself stuck in traffic for hours, with another hour to go on a commute that should have been a little over an hour. Desperate for a restroom and a bite to eat, I ended up in downtown Elmhurst. Being gluten intolerant, finding a suitable place to eat can be quite a challenge.
I stumbled upon Pinot's Palette in Elmhurst, and I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had there. Anum was truly a lifesaver. When I couldn't reach my preferred gluten-free restaurant on the phone and their online ordering system wouldn't allow for special requests, Anum stepped in to help. While I began painting, she persistently called the restaurant, placed my order, and even picked it up for me, hand delivering it to my seat.
All of this was done because Pinot's Palette didn't serve food that met my dietary needs, and Anum noticed the difficult night I was having. Thanks to her and Pinot's Palette, my night turned around completely. I was able to enjoy a fun painting session and a delicious meal despite the hours I spent stuck in traffic.
I want to extend a huge thank you to Anum and Pinot's Palette in Elmhurst for going above and beyond in their customer service. The fact that the owner herself took the time to personally ensure I had a great experience speaks volumes about the level of care they have for their customers. If you're looking for a fun night out and an exceptional experience, I highly recommend...
Read moreWell.., this particular place is new, I only have been there once and not coming back for sure. I'm usually was going to Barrington location with my friends and couple time we did have a good time , but our instructors were good. But here, I couldn't believe how we were all supposed to be painting " Van Gogh " irises, and with what we all end up by the end of the event.. I would want to post our pictures, but it would be embarrassing, because of the poor instructions and 2 hours limit time did not get us even close to the original painting of irises, by the way it was not even introduced to audience, only the instructor painting, which did not look good , sorry to say that. I know that it's not possible to paint the " original painting ", we all understand that. But I do take it a little bit more seriously, because I love to paint , and usually I was satisfied with the final result and would continue to work a little bit more at home on my painting..But this time I had to paint completely different picture over the original one, because I couldn't stand how it looked like. And it's not just me, all of us , 4 people, did not like our final results and instructions as well.. I hope that something will change in the near future at this place, but I'm not coming back,...
