I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I have been shopping with the Crystal Era since 2010 when I first got into the craft. Being new there wasn’t any other place available to where I can go and gather supplies for my workings. Everything seemed fine up until late 2017 when Vivian passed away (May her soul Rest In Peace) the business has defiantly been declining. One incident was with the worker Lynn who was very rude the one shopping trip because I she has more of a Christian based views and made me and my partner feel very uncomfortable. I emailed the owner Carol about the incident (which from my understanding Lynn is a problem for anyone following a Wiccan/Pagan path) and obviously nothing was done. So the customer concern is out of the window. Strike one. Strike 2 would be the pricing increase of simple items. I guess this one really isn’t a big deal since all business do increase pricing because of increase of cost and demand. But I am not spending 5.50 for a single pack of Dragons Blood Incense when I can go to a different place and buy a 12pk box of incense for 6.50. And finally the 3rd and final strike came from the FINAL!!Barr Gem Show on June 6th. Now look you make post about it being there final vendor show EVER for the crystal era from Steve and his wife. So you have to expect people are going to show up. Yes, I understand it’s the middle of the pandemic and you can only allow a few people up at a time. But the fact of the matter is you came up the stairs when you already have customers with basket full of large priced goodies spending hundreds and hundreds of follower since this is the last chance we are EVER going be able to get these special items from him. You come upstairs and rush us out because 2 people are waiting outside. Well I’m sorry that 2 people have to wait. My husband and I had to wait outside for an hour just to get a spot. Another lady with us drove from Canton which is almost an hour away and they had to wait to come in. I’m sorry but 15 is not enough time to go through thousands worth of merchandise. None of us appreciate it and I’m sure Steve and his wife didn’t appreciate it. My recommendation is shop somewhere else because...
Read moreI would definitely recommend this shop, especially if you are in the area. I unfortunately will probably not return, but for personal reasons. I had a free day and really wanted to spend my time browsing and selecting items on my own. Someone that does readings there and some other work happened to be there at the same time. I spoke and wanted to look at things by myself, but this man would NOT leave my side. From constantly touching my shoulder, wanting to see and touch my hands, telling me I had generational curses and I had work to do, along with every 2 minutes telling me what items I needed, I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I’m not a touchy feely person, especially when it comes to strange men. I was not able to browse like I wanted which was disappointing, because there are a lot of very nice items there. My intention was to purchase some items and inquire about a reading. But I don’t feel comfortable returning for a reading here because of my experience with this gentleman. The young lady working was very nice and apologized for him after he left, but my entire mood had...
Read moreI love this shop! Large selection of crystals at varying sizes/price points along with informative guides spanning from alternative medicine to multiple disciplines of spell work. Lots of materials for spellwork and kind, informed staff. Also, as someone that has a child who loves "cool rocks" I've always felt comfortable shopping there with him as long as I keep a watchful eye on him (lots of fragile objects) Locally owned and a mainstay of downtown Elyria...
