During the age of covid, reign of Biden the frail its nice to be able to stop alongside a highway and admire the beauty of nature mixed with civilization, breathe the bay breeze, relax, walk to the water and actually touch it, hang out and not worry about being pushed on by over zealous riot police or lost protesters. It's probably not safe to leave your car filled with stuff for a day or so, but I left the car running and went down the path to take some pics and came back to everything being there. I did lose a camera bag at 6am though once... I think or maybe the neighbor that parked next to me in empty parking lot acting shifty did take it... I can't be sure. Common sense...

It's easy to find, there's some parking, it's right off Highway 80, and the on ramp is very close when your ready to go. Just a quiet place to go if you're in the area and have a few extra moments to spare. There is a linear parking lot that ends in a roundabout, but people often park at the end which can cause some major inconvenience.
