We recently purchased a teak dining table with a matching bench from Alex at Teak Me Home and could not be more pleased. The workmanship on this furniture is impeccable and absolutely gorgeous.

My husband and I had been looking for the perfect dining table for our family for several years. We visited Teak Me Home last year and were very impressed with what we found. At that time we purchased a hexagon-shaped side table for our living room. We love the side table and continued to think about the dining tables we saw there.

When we'd visit other furniture stores to look at countless dining tables, we found ourselves comparing everything to the beautiful teak dining tables we found at Teak Me Home. In a few words, nothing measured up to the workmanship and beauty that we found at Teak Me Home. The wood has so many beautiful colors running through it and looks alive compared to the other tables we viewed.

I also love that the table has a superior finish on it. The finish maintains a matte look to the wood while providing great protection from liquid spills. Alex provided an example for us of spilling water on the table in his showroom and the water immediately balled up and was so easy to wipe up. The liquid did not soak in at all. This finish has lived up to our hopes since bringing our table home. SO easy to maintain. Love it!

Our new table is near a large sliding glass door in our kitchen. When the sun streams in, the table and bench light up and look stunning showing off the many different layers of colors in the teak and the amazing workmanship.

We had 8 people over for dinner this past weekend and loved how well everyone fit around the table. And, not surprisingly, we received many compliments about our beautiful new table.

Customer service is also very important when purchasing furniture and, I can tell you, Alex provides absolutely top-notch service. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with and we plan on purchasing more pieces from him. The delivery team was also very professional and took great care in bringing our table into our home. We are overjoyed with our purchase from Teak Me Home, a dining room table and chairs. I've never seen any furniture before that was both so stunningly beautiful and also the epitome of functionality. Not to mention the attention paid to sustainability by reclaiming the wood.

Our table came with two leaves so that we could expand it from 6 to 10 places, but it's luxuriously wide and we could likely fit at least another 2 in a pinch. I can tell that it's solid wood, and the expansion mechanism is metal and fitted with gears for an easy transition. The chairs have a slight slant to both the seat and the back to better fit the body, making them surprisingly comfortable. The teak itself is a gorgeous, warm medley of colors, and our dining room now feels inviting.

Also of some note, we looked at three other tables that were similarly beautiful, but less well designed, and they were all more expensive than Alex's.

Alex was patient and friendly with us the entire time, accommodating our needs perfectly. He was happy to hold the table for me for a day while I was still measuring and deciding if it would fit. He also gave us a gentle lesson in caring for the table and complimentary orange oil to use on it, and when I asked if I could have a scrap of wood for a craft project, he threw it in for free. We had been looking for quality solid hardwood furniture for a while, and were disappointed by what else is on the market. We walked into the show room in Berkeley and instantly fell in love with Teak Me Home's style! We bought a amazing dining room table, dresser, and bed frame. Rachel was super helpful in answering questions and coordinating delivery. We got everything within a week, amazing when everything other company has lead times of months. Alex was also super attentive and let us pick out our exact table top.

The teak is gorgeous, it glows under light. Nice to own something made out of materials older than us, and that will likely outlive us! Will definitely be coming back for future furniture. (When are those Ravere end tables coming back...
