What can be said that hasn't already been said about the awesome little city by the Bay? Well, I've been gone for quite a while and upon my return 3 years ago(during the covid lockdown), my favorite varietal food market was going through a renovation. Once it reopened, I'm sure Emeryvillers alike we're happy to see the newest space in their own backyard open up with new spots where foodie groups and families would have enough and great food options. I haven't tried every restaurant but eventually I will. For starters, Mr. Dewies Cashew Creamery is the creamiest most delicious non-dairy dessert you'll enjoy this side of the Bay! I dare you to get a cookie-cream sandwich with the banana nut flavored cream🤯😍🤤These emojis says it all. My buddy says the fried chicken at Minnie Bells is the best he's ever had (since he left mommas home 20+ years ago!) 😂. You can get all the soul food sides including kool-aid! That's real savage for you soul food lovers. Ya can't go wrong with Super Duper Burgers, fries and shakes! I tried Pig in a Pickle, unfortunately it wasn't to my satisfaction. I only wanted a hotlink---and bread wasn't included nor barbq sauce. I had to ask for the bbq in place of mustard and a radish sauce...and to include the bread was way more than I wanted to spend on a spicy sausage, esp when Top Dogg serves the best! That's just me. There's something for everyone. I'ma picky personal chef and baker ----originally from the Bay, so I needless to say-- I know good food when I smell it, see it and taste it. Overpriced speciality food hall. Very high turnover with food vendors. Vendors either go broke or the developers give drastic rent increases to the former food court owners and they are forced out. I don't care for most of the food with the one exception being Super Duper Burgers who happened to have one of the best burgers in the East Bay. The developers try to maintain a hip image by renting frequently to food vendors who serve non traditional American food. Too pricey for many of the local office workers. The adjacent supermarket has been sitting empty for a long time. This vacancy is a huge hole in the heart of the complex. I hope they can rerent the supermarket space to a non specialty supermarket that does not have whole paycheck pricing while having fresh foods. Lots of new ticky tacky apartment buildings. They knocked down the Regal 10 Cinema build for even more ticky-tacky apartment buildings. Located immediately adjacent to the noisy railroad lines. Adequate parking is available and it is to be seen if this parking situation will stay the same when they build the place out and if they can find somebody to sublease the long-vacant supermarket. Apartments are largely occupied by single male techies who take the Emery go round to BART to work in San Francisco. They are trying to rent to biotech firms in addition to Hi-Tech. Both apartment and office rents are high but still lower than San Francisco rents. Streets are very narrow. 🚨I went from the ramp northbound-southbound-northbound exit through heavy traffic 4/5 lansed exited into garbage/trash/contruction/sharing/nails in tire and the police driving up and down in whining narrow one lanes/l-R side, behind narrow mall bldg. one sided pk slots-15/20 minutes into tiny lanes of overcrowded/ close net 6 story units which dogs walking refused to go into. ⛽ The worse part was mid morn, block sunlite, no directional sign (dark not readable), non visiable bldg./Resid No 3/4 bldging and a no lite eatery also dark going in/out of doors, taking frieght elevators vs commercial and the postal lady being my guide. Finally, LATE going to a interview finally lite to be seen, arrived in 1 hour to the 5th floor, I can see now; which was a bust because the agency had no intend of hiring, took 10 mins for "we call you". If i was a host or security guard i would of quit the assignment upon arrival. ⏰ 🚥 The Dungeon appearance look and in/out is not hitting on it for me; morn, afternoon or esp. evening for safty reasons. Again, no directional signs to assist in driving in/out of units and mall. It was like going to someones funeral. 🛢 By the time i got to target and the freeway exits, i was mentally exhausted.

No lites, No Parking, No Visible/Directional Signs, No Security, No Color, No Activity, No Music/limited Bodies, lots of Car parked/moving outbound, compacted living bldgs, small driving lanes, trashed.

If you feel the same way i did visiting especially for safety reasons let them know. "Let the Sun Shine In" it burns and kills germs...
