If you want the perfect morning in Encinitas, you’ll make a pit stop at Leucadia Donut Shoppe and then walk across the street to Leucadia Oaks Park to enjoy your scrumptious treat you picked out. We look for any excuse to order their chocolate donut and we weren’t the only ones at the park with this idea either! Another dad at the park shared with us that he had the very same thoughts!

Love this park. Well maintained. Regular Park goers are great. Love the crows that hang out here. Have become friends with them over the years and they are super comfortable around me and my dogs.
Trees are gorgeous and the big grassy area is awesome.
Volleyball court available and one basketball hoop. Tiny skate park. Play area and lots of picnic tables for parties and grills for bbq.
It’s tranquil and a great place for dog walks. Some people let dogs play off leash, although some have gotten tickets.

Turns out the "volleyball court" is just a storm drainage basin for the streets surrounding the park. There is a large 30 inch pipe that drains whatever washes off the streets after a rainstorm directly onto the volleyball court. We got there a week after the last rain and found the courts just a pile of black sludge. Absolutely disgusting what is washing onto that court and our kids are...
