Patagonia — Attraction in Encinitas

Very disappointed with Patagonia. I bought a Patagonia Down Sweater Hoodie - Men's (large, black, $279) in Dec 2019 and it's already pretty damaged. In of the first times using it, a whole opened in the back. Then, a fews day after, another little hole in the front. Plus, the jacket does not stop losing its stuffing... very poor quality. So I went to the store trying to exchange/fix it, and I felt like very uncomfortable with the situation. They did not even considered exchanging or sending it back to the factory to fix it, they only TAPED the jacket's holes with a black TAPE! Is that a joke? what kind of costumer Patagonia think we are, they really think I gonna use a jacket with a TAPE on it. I have the idea that they just claim to be super reliable and sell you the ("life warranty" FAKE) as an excuse to overprice their products....

I came in inquiring a repair for my recently purchased Ascentionist pack. After taking a look, Tess assessed it would likely not be able to be patched. She could see the sadness in my eyes and quickly offered to see if any other stores had them. She identified the Austin store had the very LAST pack in Radar Blue and we tried giving them a call but they were already closed. She gave me a full refund for the pack in the event the inventory had a glitch and the color wasn't available and I would need to select an alternate color. Hoping for the best she wrote down all the product info and the number for the Austin store so I could call the next morning. It was such a seamless experience and I will without a doubt never hesitate to spend the premium on...

one of the smallest Patagonia stores i have been to, and it’s at the expense of inventory. not a big selection, and what they do have is limited on sizes. there’s literally no customer service here. for a brand that’s world renowned for quality products and service, this place seems to be the exception when it comes to customer service. every other Patagonia store i have been to they greet you when you enter, ask if they can help you, but everyone acted like i wasn’t even there. the manager should visit the San Francisco, Palo Alto, or Lake Tahoe stores and take notes.
