This place is several parks in one. I only say this as I wrote a review on this park once then got another review with a different name. So from the two different names this is my assumption. The children's farm is located in the Belleview park. The Belleview park contains the train, dog park on the farthest end ( past pirates cove which is not affiliated with the Belleview park ) and from what I've seen online as when i was there in person the train and associated petting zoo were closed ( walked the whole park did not see a space for a petting zoo then again since it was closed maybe there's not a designated area for the petting zoo ). Several areas to grill as there's built in grill pits around the park. I liked the amount of those pits as there is more in that park than there is in the city park here in brush,co. BUT both parks. The Belleview and the one here in brush could and can use more of those grill pits. Bet more people would have bbq's at...
Read moreThe farm had a half dozen creatures in display cases, inside the building near the entrance - birds, a turtle (or tortoise?), a lizard, a guinea pig, a very black bunny. In the outside area, there were chickens in a pen, and ducks in a pen, and four goats and a turkey wandering about freely. My impression was that this was a petting zoo, and we did pet the goats a little. But that's all. It was a relatively sad and meager experience. The life-size plastic cow in one corner, and the empty pigsty in the other, seemed to be mocking us.
The train was another story. That was great fun! The conductor was cheerful, the ride was enjoyable. The route even includes a tunnel! My little grandson liked the animals, because he's little and any animals are interesting to him, no matter how paltry their conditions. But the train was a wonder to our little guy, and the ride filled...
Read moreWent here for the 4th of July, fireworks display. The park was very clean and well maintained. Normally they have a petting zoo at he small farm open to the general public. A little family kids train that goes a round the park but due to safely because of the sheer amount of people it was not operating on the 4th. The park had plenty of room for families to come and cook out, play ball, there is also a small softball enclosed area , small kids area for them to play ,a small creek to skip rocks or just cool your feet off on a very hot summers day. It is also located right next to the Pirate Cove water park ( there is a cost for that but not sure how much). This was a fun and safe place to come see the fireworks, a great display, I would recommend it. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was the lack of clean restrooms, and the parking lots...
