Good dog park. There are shade trees and there is enough...not an abundant, but enough to stretch their legs. As for the people it's very mixed. Typically there aren't pit bulls or aggressive dogs when I've been there. The ground cover is wood chips and then dirt where there's a lot of congregating. There have always been an abundant supply of poop bags. There was running water the last few times that we have been there. For the humans there is a porta-potty which seems to be maintained. We go every weekend because my dogs love it. We also take them on leash back to the water behind the dog park. Not a great dog park because it's not huge, but definitely not a bad dog park... I would say it's a "good" dog park.

Good city dog park, most dogs and people are friendly. The park is basically a fenced in acre and a half rectangle with vision to all sides. The ground is covered in wood chips which help with pick up and mud mitigation. A couple trees provide some shade for the summer but it definitely gets hot, luckily it’s near the river and a stream runs next to it so there are plenty of dog dipping spots. Water can be found on site in the summer, but is shut off for the winter months. My dog likes this park there is usually a medium to large group of other dogs, plenty of play friends that tire him out, so I like this park.

My pup has been coming here since she was 5 months old (she is now 7 months) and we absolutely LOVE this place. We became regulars super quick! Everybody is really nice and are very attentive to their dogs, especially if you bring a puppy. My girl loves this place so much! It is very spacious and has benches and chairs. There are water bowls at the park and a water pump as well. People take turns refilling the water bowls. We are so lucky to live very close so we come daily! It’s an awesome dog park.

Took my puppy here only 3 times, first two time where ok. Then today my puppy was attacked by another dog who clearly had possessive aggression with both water bowls and balls. My puppies mouth was sliced open and her gums are detaching from her lower teeth wall. All my puppy wanted was to play and share the water bowl. She did not deserve to be traumatized and hurt like this and at only at 5 months old. Be on guard or light tan spotted mix medium sized dog that only wants to chase ball and protect it at all cost. Didn't get lady's name or dogs info I was too freaked out by all the blood everywhere and trying to make sure my puppy was OK. And although the owe tried to help with a first aid kit not much would help an injury that deep in the mouth. And she knew he was ball possessive and bought a ball to off leash dog park where the dogs are known to share everything. The last thing She said is she won't be back to that dog park . But two other owners where told the same thing by her. I'm just so upset and pray this doesn't effect my puppy long term and that the vets can fix her gums. And heaven forbid this happens agian will definitely get more info on owner of aggressive dog . No possessive aggressive or general aggressive dogs of any breed should come to off...

I love coming here but there are a couple people that bring their dogs and shouldn't. My one dog is very gentle & doesn't know how to stick up for himself so when people bring aggressive dogs to the dog park he ends up getting hurt. It sucks because both of our dogs are so sweet & love other dogs. It's a shame people don't take other people's dogs safety seriously. If your dog is aggressive why in the world would you bring them to a dog park? We have had two incidents now...one lady with a three legged dog let her very aggressive dog attack our little 30lb dog & the lady just stood there & laughed. She clearly shouldn't own a dog. Then there were two dogs that attacked our other dog & they weren't listening to their owners (another sign you shouldn't take your dog to a dog park) & they didn't even apologize for their dogs bad behavior. I wish there was a better way to tell people when it's okay to take their dog to the of park because clearly some people don't understand that if your dog is aggressive it's inappropriate to bring them around other dogs...common sense is...

Sometimes this dog park can be okay, but most other times it is full of shady people with aggressive dogs. I've seen a lot of people not paying attention to their dogs, and tonight an aggressive pit bull attacked my gentle mini dachshund and tried to kill him. The owner appeared to be some kind of drug addict and didn't help get his dog off of ours. My dog was bleeding and lost a tooth, and my husband had to pull this dog off of him! There were other aggressive dogs there as well, and there is always a ton of poop that nobody seems to ever clean up. While the park itself is good for dogs, the people who go there make it a terrible place for dogs. We're lucky that our dog was not killed, and the owner of the other dog didn't even care or apologize. Just a word of advice: if you see a skinny drug addict with kitchen tattoos and a black and white pit bull named Scout keep your little dogs away. It will...
