Visiting the Bicentennial Tower was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the ease of access and convenience offered at this iconic location. The parking situation was straightforward, allowing for a hassle-free start to my visit. As someone who appreciates accessibility, I found it particularly appealing that there is an elevator that takes you directly to the top of the tower, eliminating the need to climb any stairs. This feature makes it accessible for visitors of all ages and physical abilities.

Interestingly, my visit coincided with election season, which added an unexpected twist to my experience. Upon entering the parking area, I encountered a Trump mannequin—a quirky touch that sparked conversation among visitors. It’s moments like these that make a trip memorable and provide a glimpse into local culture and current events.

Once at the top of the tower I was greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake. The vantage point provided a unique perspective on the surrounding landscape, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts or anyone looking to soak in some natural beauty. In addition to the stunning scenery, there are several historical posts that provide context and information about the area’s history. This blend of nature and education enriches the overall experience and allows visitors to appreciate not just what they see but also its significance.

Overall, my time at Bicentennial Tower was exceptional. The combination of easy access, stunning views, historical insights, and unique local touches made for a well-rounded outing. I would wholeheartedly give this attraction five stars and recommend it to anyone looking for a...

This Bicentennial Tower surprises me Everytime I see it. This first night I arrived to the Sheraton, I was greeted by this tower before I turned left to Sheraton. The color of the sky and the color of the lit tower compliment each other beautiful. I took the pic through my car windshield and the picture still turned out nice. Then the 2nd night of my stay, on President Trump's Birthday, it was lit up in Red White and Blue ❤️🇺🇲🦅🇺🇲❤️. This tower has stairs to go to the top. The metal stairs are see thru; appropriate shoe wear is recommended... No high heels. 😉 The base of this tower is a gift shop/ice cream shop/restaurant - nothing fancy. There are stone like tables behind the tower with a beautiful view of the lake, Presque Isle State Park, etc... There are historic signs throughout the park. Plenty of parking including parking for the handicap/disable. History lovers will get a lot for value and meaning from this landmark than those...

The Bicentennial Tower is a classic landmark in Erie, PA. Built in 1996 it has stood guard for over two decades and has offered natives and tourists breathtaking views of the city, lake and Presque Isle Peninsula.

It's a very popular spot to visit with the pier and tower being centrally located to the city and at the tip of downtown Erie. It's easy access the bayfront makes it a very popular destination because of it's proximity to good restaurants, bars, hotels and of course downtown Erie.

I've been coming down here since I was a child because it seems to never get old. Great spots for family photos including stone animals to set your kids on, outdoor dining areas, a small shop inside for food and drink. Plus if you're a fisher, the entire area allows you to cast out and go for a catch. Be courteous to those...

We came here on a Sunday afternoon in September. We bought tickets onsite and there was no wait. The cost was $6/person. A staff member took us to the observation deck in an elevator. Not sure if there are steps to walk up if you choose to or not - it didn’t seem like that was an option. The view from the observation deck was great. Looking at the website and seeing some other reviews, it’s unclear to me if there is a second observation area. If there is, no one told us about it so we missed it. I don’t remember seeing any elevator options to go up any higher. Parking was easy. There was a shared lot and there were plenty of spaces. It was a very nice day, I was surprised there weren’t more people here. We enjoyed this visit.
